The dogma of 7th century Islamic ways cannot be sustained forever. Over the past 30 years, radicalism has taken over large parts of Somali culture. Now, the chokehold is beginning to slip. Somali communities are increasingly diverse, with strict Somali Muslims, ex Muslim atheists Somalis, a growing number of Somali Christians, and nonpracticing secular youth, intermarriages with other ethnicities, and many people having only one Somali parent, as well as parents of other ethnicities. An open minded, fairly progressive and forward thinking Somali culture is the only way forward. Relcaiming cultural traditions, instruments, dances and Somali native clothes for women. The Arab worshipping, Jilbabs and Saudi insipired oppression will definitely not last forever.

@@nassergabriel4778 Respect to the religion should always be shown, but yes I agree religious fascism and extremism since the fall of the barre regime has devastated Somalia, let’s hope the young can change this but not lose their faith or be subjected for their faith. We certainly don’t want to go from one religious extremism, to another liberal secular fascism. We are a balanced people and should remain that way !
