Why do people try to take down Eurovision with comparisons like this when Eurovision fans don't pretend to have these crazy expectations. It's cool when we get an ABBA or Maneskin but, that's not realistic given the music industry doesn't need Eurovision to make stars. A lot of Eurovision stars do it for fun and have completely different day jobs.

I'd never really seen his face before, or regular talking voice, and somehow every time he was announced it went over my head aha. Before this ESC, I had heard of Mika and a couple of his songs sounded familiar though I hadn't put them together. Seeing this performance on ESC has enabled me to put the name, face and songs together and it's bloody great! Thank you ESC! Best presenters and interval act I have seen, and being 54 years old this week, I have seen a lot of ESCs. Mika now added to my Spotify play lists!

Mika is really a matter for itself, whether you like this style or not, but he has so much talent. At least his lyrics make sense and he sounds like on CD in real life, only a few can do that anymore. :-)

If you like his voice you should listen to the concerts he does at the opera, there's just his voice and the orchestra, no dancing, no special effects, his voice is just so powerful alone.
