JF is unique, head and shoulders above any other guitarist and a massively talented musician. The attention to the most minute detail combined with absolute simplicity is beyond comparison in the modern era. By far and away the very best guitarist in my lifetime.
It's so weird watching Chad, Anthony and Flea's interview with this girl and all of them just being semi to fully perverted then watching John's interview and him being a sweetheart and a romantic.
Null As a feminist, my sexism radar rarely misses a thing. It seems to me that, as Frusciante turned into a more mature human being, he became less and less likely to objectify women. This interview is very sweet and genuine, I think, and illustrates my point. Btw this young woman is not a girl; she’s a journalist, and a skilled interviewer, well prepared if a little too sycophantic for my taste.
But any woman would do the same thing. It's very easy to like John, to want John, he's adorable in a simple way, often even innocent. Your girlfriend at the time should be a lucky girl.
It's so nice listening to John. He talks so peacefully and yet he says deep things. Totally agree with "g00dguyforyou": IF MORE PEOPLE WERE LIKE THIS MAN THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE.
when he says by everybody thanks a lot he is like the cutest person ive ever seen. like i am a guy not gay or bi but thats just how i see him hes so cool
Yeah it's okay, it makes sense in the end. Took me a couple of tries to watch it the whole way through. It turned out that there was no John Frusciante music in it though but you can still hear it on the soundtrack.
"Give it to me, please give it to me hehe...... i'll pay you loads of money for it" - she definitely wanted it! Luckily he dropped the girlfriend bomb swiftly after
@dreadedwheat26 he is more humble now, but back when he recorded Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt, John was quite the narcissist who thought he was a genius from another dimension
Cocaine does that to you. And I don’t believe he thought that way during Niandra. He had started to be humble by then. But Mothers Milk era most likely yes.
