Just saw the movie on Netflix. Really respect Lisa Simone Kelly for her ability to forgive and honoring her mother and showing her respect knowing that she was a very complicated personality.
6:20 I don't know how the interviewer could possibly think that a statement like, "you probably know [Nina] better than Lisa [her daughter]" is by any stretch appropriate. Given the history of commercial rape and cultural colonization and sense that the powerful owners of this country have of owning Black people and the unique problems, beyond and besides that, which come with being a Black Woman in Wt Sprmcst culture and geography, he should have been much more sensitive if not more educated, so as to not make a statement with such offensive implications.
