I remember a few years back, I was watching a commercial on tv. It was playing Nina Simone's "Feeling Good". I sang the lyrics along with the commercial. I asked myself, "Where do i know that song from?". Turned out that it was Nina Simone. The song Mississpi G****** really caught my attention when I heard it the first time. After hearing that song I been loving her music. It didn't take me long to learn the lyrics😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Karine,Thanks for the video

I wonder if Nina was really suffering from PTSD due to racism. That was the Jim Crowe Era.

She was abused as a child though. She had issues prior to that. Racism and misogyny didn’t create her bi-polarness or caused her to abuse her child. Stop this BS. Mental health wasn’t discussed like today and we are more aware of discussing our childhood and examining these toxic traits.

Hello Karine! I just subscribed to your channel. I am so impressed with the scope of your information about these artists. I am 67 years old so I am familiar with many of them. My parents listened to and owned albums by many of the artists you feature including Nina Simone. I thoroughly enjoy your channel. Much continued success for you!👏🏆
