What a humble, witty and an agreeable personality. The child-like giggle at the end is so endearing. Superb writer too and an underrated one as well.

In 2023, Pritchett would never be interviewed on British television. Intellect is obsolete now.

Seems a bit presumptuous to say the Spanish have no inner life; unless you’re telepathic, how on earth can you know? It does seem a lot of his work and feel for people came from his Father, or more accurately his detestation of him.
