Certain offices are run by family and friends the line management that is if your related you'll be a RM manager within 2 weeks of applying to just be post men then straight to management, bullies, manipulate you, if you can't do overtime or work over your hours they'll put you on the worst deliveries, move you about away from your regular areas were you've been posting, the personal friends get the best rounds also, facts .
Couldnt agree more royal mail is all about bullying harassment discrimination and blackmail I work for them and I've been victim to all above and also had my overtime changed without telling me caused me great deal of stress I ended up been signed off work since July will not be going back management are shocking maybe because they simply do not have the qualities or experience to manage jusl bullies
@@markstephenson8811 Im doing the same pal I'm getting 🤞🏼 IHR, I should have another 35 yrs in me but my mental health just deteriorates working for them through all of the above ontop of my own personal issues, it's donkey work they don't weight bags my backs knackered from overweight bags b4 trolleys came in, if you get your head down to finish early they send u back out to help someone that's slacking so u get punished for being efficient, I can't stand them.

Terrible job now. Incompetent managers who constantly pressure and question you. I don't know where they get them from . They come in after the postpersons and go home in the majority before them. Pushing tracked items ahead of any other form of mail as this product affects their bonuses. My office has over 100 delivery staff would estimate 75 per cent now hate the job.
I was a postman over ten years ago I only lasted 5 months, the training was atrocious the manger was evil and I was put on walks where I had not been shown the correct order to deliver the post it was a horror story.
I can't understand the logic of of the Union to call for strke action at a time when the postman will earn exta money over the Christmas period .I think it would have been better in new year iam sure all postman would feel the benefit of extra cash over Christmas

Logic is simple. Strikes during the busiest period adds the most pressure on the company to actually talk to the Union. After christmas all the leverage is lost and the company will rampage through executive action. 10's of thousands of jobs lost.
Seems like what he's saying is they used to have it easy when the royal mail was nationalised, now its a private company and they have to earn their wages they don't like it! Welcome to the real world.
