I ain't even gonna lie. Just remembered she was one of my childhood crushes. The fact that she don't love the limelight got a brother weak to the knees. She is absolutely beautiful.
Interview 1: Male Interviewer: Now it has started to get moving a lot, both in Denmark and in Norway where you sell very well! Woman Interviewer: Under a short amount of time too! Then: Mhm, yeah. Jonas: Platinum Woman Interviewer: How much have you guys sold? Jenny (asks Jonas) What are we up in now? Jonas: It’s almost double Platina in Denmark, we’re up in 150k I believe. We released it in November and in Norway we sold gold in 1.5 week and almost Platinum there too and we released that two weeks ago. Woman Interviewer: But in Sweden you haven’t sold as much. Jonas: We released it just a few days ago so it’s been pretty slow in Sweden. Jenny: I had a friend that I met at a pub a while ago, and he asked me “what do you do nowadays?” And I said that I play in Ace of Base and he said “What is that?” Oh, they are the ones who made “All that she wants”! Oh! Is that you? You guys? I have heard that one but I had no clue that you’re the one who made it.
Funny thing is, in so many youtube videos, Linn is sought after.. and other 3 totally ignored. And Linn wants to be ignored, and other 3 are craving for attention!! Strange world.
The second part translated: The host: You where here in february, and now you are very successful, how has that changed you. "Weve learned to apply make up" (joke) Jenny has a new surname: Jenny-from-Ace-of-Base -Youre being promoted as Abba. -Its automatic, alll the journalists in all countries compare us to Abba. -Host: its two guys, two girls, quite natural. Linn: the guys work in the studio so what you see on stage are all four. Host: What do you say about being compared to Abba? -its too great a compliment. when you where little and mimed to their songs while jumping rope. and a friend would use a flashlight as a strobe. (in the dark) we really are the abba generation. so to be compared to them who where pioneers.. really.. its too great of a compliment.
Mycket tack for the translation. Can read some svenska, can't understand it spoken.... It did not keep me from watching this all the way through, however. A Mack truck would have to run me over to do that. Peace.
Awesome AoB! Of the two awesome ladies... Jenny displays the most on show confidence ..no doubt. I hardly understand half of what Linn said.(Even being Danish). but that may be the most captivating "inte förstått" 30 seconds of my life. Stunned by charm.. Now I just hope I can put the pop-out hearts back into my eyes. It's blurring my sight.
@@ricojohn8249 я знаю, не волнует, пусть упрашивают чтоб вернулась, на то они и брат с сестрой )) тем более что и Джонас мечтает, чтобы Линн его новые песни еще спела ))
I just find out one thing: jenny is tomboyish and rough (by the way she sits and talk) , while linn is soft and feminine. No wonder most of us are crazy for linn. But jenny is a 'rock' chick. Love to both ❤
I stole five Rupees from my dad pocket, lent 10 rupees from my mom, lent 10 rupees from my friend and all along with my savings I have bought the cassette. I had been listening to these songs along with Dr. Alban, Cheb Khaled's Didi songs, in my residential locality from a rich guy's home. They have a big custom stereo deck of 1000 w PMPO and they used to blast at 10am to 1pm everyday. These song made me crazy and they hit my soul hard that I could not forget these artists from my mind for years. Not just listening to these, I used to rewind the cassette a hundred times till my walkman get spoiled, cassettes get raped..I used to try write the lyrics on a paper from my notebook and try sing the same way the singer sang it....I used to imagine about the life style of the artists in their country that entered my soul, though I do not know anything about them...just pure imagination. And the worst of it is, I did not have anybody who are like-minded around me to share what I felt, what I have undergone listening to these songs...I had difficulty to let the energy vent out which was generated from these songs. And it happened for almost for 15 years. I first listened to these 3 artists in 1992-93 when I was 16 yrs studying my 10th std. At times, I used to think that I can sell my blood if nobody comes to know, but later I listened to my intellect which was saying "it's not good".. that was the impact created on me. Looking at them now after passing thru 40 yrs of life living in a third world country like India, I got enough maturity, enough experience etc. Still their songs haunt me now and then...my kids are listening to them now after some evangelism from my side. Esp Dr Alban, Cheb Khaled had a great impact on me. I still remember, I visited nearly 20 times to the audio shop in my locality for the new albums from Khaled, Dr. Alban, Ace of Base each. He made me wait for almost 2 months but still it never tired me off..that was the kind of life...I remember some of my English-hating-friends used to call me with funky names treat me like foreign guy..for without any fault of mine. Literally man, some those sounds from these albums, done something to my soul which I can't explain...I can just reminisce. I know I cannot forget these songs, artists till my last breathe and possibly carry them forward to my next birth. I want to write more but feeling shy that others take it as abnormal..What do you think, friends..?
I can relate to all of what you said 100% with the same lifestyle, passion and hunger that you shared coming from Pakistan, being taunted as a Western guy. The cassettes era and having to wait for ages to get the cassettes available at the shop. That anticipating, that aura, the new generation will never understand what that world was. It was absolutely heaven on earth. I would also repeat the songs a hundred times and my cousins and friends would think I am nuts. I would even talk about Ace of Base on family gatherings and weddings. I am so happy to have read your message.
Around thousand years ago Kyiv was besieged by the Pechinegi, a nomadic tribe. After many years of failed attempts to brake the siege, Iryna/Ingegerd called on help from her homeland Västergötland/Sweden. Eventually the troops came and together with many slavic tribes the siege was boken, and the nomadic invaders was in full flight. The three siblings are very spiritual, probably also psychic.. Maybe they are related to Iryna of Kyiv-Rus..? 😇
What language are Ace Of Base speaking to in the interview?? it's sounds hot hehe I know they are bi-langual as well but thats great footage there! Great song All that She Wants that I still hear on the radio today in 2017! :D
I wish they made some songs in Swedish. If ABBA did that with 'Fernando' or 'Mamma mia', why couldn't 'All that she wants' be sang in other language than English?
In Jenni's interview conducts it is more sure by what Linn, on the stage everything on the contrary Jenni moves clumsily and doesn't know where to put hands and Linn behaves organically and moves perfectly and the look of blue eyes bewitches!
At the concerts Linn's seems to be afraid, and Jenny is more courageous. See that Linn always stands behind a tripod and Jenny moves around the stage, additionally Linn always sings with closed eyes in contrast to Jenny.
+Cinek400 It depends on the individual performance. Jenny is more naturally expressive and confident, but in cases where Linn is well prepared ahead of time, she often appears more confident and precise in what she's doing.
@@bambangsetiyanto8436 if you ask me.... Malin is the common blonde, blue eyed swedish girl.... But Jenny.... Dark haired, those brown greenish eyes (sometimes grey 😋) and that sculptural hot body of hers!!!! Wooow!!! Pure fire 🔥🔥🔥
Have you ever actually listened to them singing? As someone who is British, you can hear their accents in their pronunciations in English - just like the girls in Abba - especially around the letter S. It’s very different and noticeable. FairPlay to them - their English is superb - I can’t make head nor tail of Swedish!
When real singing was the way to the top. Nowadays very forced faux voicing and utterly bland renditions. The culture was different back then, now its 99 showbusiness and 1% voice
