Kids, in general, don't look in the past so it's just normal to not know past artists. That's okay because their focus is the present and the future as it should be. It's the job of the grown ups to educate them and inspire them. Some of these kids who only knows Audioslave might become curious enough to know more about the band and they would discover their history with Soundgarden and RATM. That said, I am so happy Soundgarden is back! Their album King Animal is amazing!
im mexican, like the interviewer, and i fuckin love audioslave, and yeah, its a shame that most people dont know soundgarden, theyre amazing like alice in chains, screaming trees, pearl jam, temple, nirvana, ratm...:) matt cameron is my inspiration in drums, just listen most of his soundgarden drumming!!!
"I'll wait for you there, like a stone, I'll wait for you there, alone".
I know--I caught that too. and yet he came up with something positive about his dad. In other interviews I've heard him be a lot more negative about him
Yeah I saw it too..it's called being tired and stretching your neck. He's a tall guy so no chair is comfortable as you can see he has to cross his legs..he did also imply he was tired from doing interviews that day though he was still chilled and gracious..no he wasn't on the nod there. Or maybe I got "it" wrong what you saw.. E-ther..I-ther.
No. I think what he's trying say was with Audioslave, he just let the other guys do their thing and not suggest how they should do things. With SG, he felt more comfortable making those suggestions. Speaks alot about how strong his bond is with SG, IMO.
I now know what's genuine music. Mainstream music is really crappy these days..before I became a fan of Chris and his music I was contented with mainstream radio music. Now that I've discovered them, I skip through most of the popular music on my ipod to get to SG and Audioslave and Chris's music.
No..like someone else said in the comments..he was just saying he lets these guys do their thing trusting what they were doing..out of respect for their previous work..where with SG he was obviously more closer to put more critique all in together as a whole. It just didn't kinda come out right.. i thought it too for a sec but nah..
@123sonyas Nope i dont need a thumbs up.. =) i just feel that he is the most awesome rocker. ^^ n u need a thumbs up fer your comment i guess.. haha. take care buddy
"........and vital right now...." Oh really Chris? THEN WHY DID YOU QUIT TO GO PLAY ZIGGY FUCKING POP?!?!?! I considered him the last, and maybe the savor of the death of the 90's mentality of music... : D
