Uhhhh. Hate to burst you bubble, Chad. But, Stone Sour was formed before Slipknot. Stone Sour broke up for a bit, Slipknot was formed, a few years later stone sour got back together.

Stone Sour was a band well before the Des Moines super group known as Slipknot formed. Dude doesn't know history, he's too busy smelling his own farts.

So the interviewer laughed because he obviously knows about both bands he knows that Stone Sour formed in 1992 before Slipknot and btw, I think Nickelback is like Oasis Lite or 3 Doors Down Lite. They’re NOT anywhere near Stone Sour, and Corey’s remarks about foot face should send a message to Nickelback.

Stone sour is not nickelback lite. If anything, theory of a deadman is nickelback lite.

10:45 Chad used to be worried about length of his songs so he thought about removing guitar solos to make his hit songs more radio friendly. That already proves how bad nickelback is. Because instead of worrying about releasing quality content he is worried about how his songs is going to sell on the radio.

Heres my outlook: without fans, they’re just two bickering idiots. Its all about how you lead and they both have had their downfalls with what they say to a camera. Just be different bands. People like that. It makes going to 2 different shows worth it.

Umm dude, know your enemy. Stone Sour was started by Corey in the 90's, but him and Jim ended them to go work on Slipknot. But during the Iowa era, Corey wanted to go do more things than the death/groove metal of Slipknot. So, he brought Stone Sour back. Also, a song like Taciturn is more heartfelt than Far Away which was made to make a cheap radio hit.

Kroegers' a joke. Nickelback *objectively* writes less complex and easier to write "chant" style songs with literally 3 topics, teenage levels of drinking or pot, "partying", or "sex". All of which are so white washed and boring to actually listen to at this point.

This dude talked about how great he and his band are the whole fucking time and completely trashed Corey and his band because of this other guys opinion. Regardless of IF Corey talked shit before which I highly doubt was as direct as kroger makes it seem, the best musicians rise above it and know they're too good to acknowledge any hater. People who have long careers in the music industry make it happen because of the way they carry themselves. Sure everyone might have some sort of narcissistic tendencies but they are mostly always humble and down to Earth (few exceptions like Kanye, but he is 100x more talented than chadd kroger). Guys like this nickelback singer fall off because they show their true colors of how cocky and big headed they are. They make a few top 10 singles and think they are legends. Legends are more than their singles, albums and music. They influence mass amounts of people with there individuality, uniqueness and persona.

Avenged Sevenfold is a pretty diverse band... probably more diverse than Nickelback. They have songs like “So Far Away” “MIA” “Sieze the Day” “I won’t see your tonight Pt. 1” and then they have “Bat Country” “Beast and the Harlot” “Scream” “Nightmare” “Afterlife” ...then they do progressive metal with “The Stage”... more diverse in my opinion than Nickelback. (This is coming from someone who actually likes Nickelback (yes I know crucify me))

He's delusional. He just dislikes Corey Taylor and wants to talk shit about him somehow. Nickelback has a couple of songs that aren't similar to most of the others, but they definitely have a set style 99% of the time. Meanwhile, Stone Sour is inherently diverse, songs like 30-30-150, Orchids, Get Inside, Idle Hands, Made of Scars and Say You'll Haunt Me have a trend of being melody driven, but they don't follow an archetype, which Nickelback songs almost *always* do. And I'm saying this as someone who likes Nickelback and owns 3 records which I think are quite good. I've even seen them live and reckon they're great live. Mind you, Kroeger is full of shit on Nickleback being diverse at all, nevermind more diverse than Slipknot or Stone Sour.

Claim nr 1, Stone Sour is diverse because they're Nickelback lite. Show me ONE Nickelback song that's got blasts beats in it, proper double bass, ACTUAL growls, ACTUAL guitar solos that not just anyone whose played for six months can play. Nickelback is NOT diverse. Stone sour is. The difference between songs like Bother, RU486 and Come Whatever May is monumental. THAT is diversity, and it sounds NOTHING like Nickelback. claim 2, Corey hasn't written a hit song. This one is irrefutably false. Slipknot has TWO albums that went nr 1 in Billboard 200, and Stone Sour has two songs that were in the top 50. Aka, hit songs. And yes, writing hit songs IS easy, which is why most songs that top the charts in the first place are utter garbage. It's not an impressive artistic feat if you come at it form the point of view of trying to write a hit song. it's a very simple formula. When you write songs that actually have genuine creative layers on the other hand, making it to the charts IS very impressive. All the other claims were just embarrassing and inaccurate interpretations of Slipknot and their so-called "gimmick", not to mention the fact that Stone Sour not only formed before Slipknot, they formed before Nickelback did as well.
