I don't think you understood what he is saying. He wants to depopulate the globe by deindustrialization.

yep.. limits was a key study regarding sustainability and still is relevant because the situation is the same as it was only with increased biospheric degradation… an unsolvable problem without a change in the economic paradigm and its related social values

@@entropicaBS. It’s on their web site. The original quote was “By 2030, you will own nothing, you will have no privacy and you will be happy.” This has been archived. They recently changed it to “By 2030, you will own nothing and you will be happy” Somehow…

@@skepticsr_usIt was just a *hypothetical* essay by Ida Auken, not a description of the future: In 2016, Auken published an essay originally titled "Welcome to 2030. I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better", later retitled "Here's how life could change in my city by the year 2030", on the WEF's official web site. It described life in an unnamed city in which the narrator does not own a car, a house, any appliances, or any clothes, and instead relies on shared services for all of his daily needs. Auken later added an author's note to the story responding to critics, stating that it is not her "utopia or dream of the future", and that she intended for the essay to start discussions about technological development.

@@entropica "A hypothetical essay" on the WEF' web site? More like a blueprint that people are now rejecting en masse, which is why they removed it --but we have the screenshot.

@@skepticsr_us It doesn’t make any sense to put it on the WEF‘s official website if it was their true goal. Only as a thought experiment, probably one of several hypothesis for the future.

In a way her interventions reinforce the points he is making...like the gloomy outlook part she mentions and he responds, "that is a point of view" (what you consider gloomy).
