IMO: Ed Bonja's photographs are the best and most revealing of the thousands taken of Elvis. Mr. Bonja had true insight concerning his most frequent subject.

Ed Bonja was very kind in person🥀🍀🌴. Pose with me for a photo & gave me his autograph. I couldn't help myself I had to ask - 'Is Elvis still alive?' 🤭🙂 . It was in 2017. History.

The picture you took of Elvis! ( Thank you ) I have it in a large poster in frame in my beautiful basement at the bar area! Why did he not show us his favorite picture? We all were waiting! That was kind of odd! But Thank you.

Thanks for a great upload. Ed Bonja was a superb photographer of course but his subject matter made it easy work. Any shot of Elvis looked good. His photos ended up on most of Elvis' 1970s albums. My favourite album covers are Elvis Now, Elvis (Fool), and Elvis Today. My least favourite cover is the Promised Land front cover. Rest in peace Mr Bonja 🌿.

Ed... May your Soul rest in eternal Peace. It was such a pleasure to have met you on a couple of occasions in Porthcawl -Wales. I appreciate the pictures you took of the King. We took a couple of pictures of the two of us, which I have kept to pass on to my grandsons. I am sorry I could have met you again at Porthcawl. God bless you. Xx

Elvis was indeed very ill, medically speaking, in the last few years of his life and it had nothing to do with drug abuse, in fact the prescription meds started out because of all the symptoms that were undiagnosed and therefore left major illnesses untreated.

Just think about how gruelling those tours were where the unofficial ‘photographer’ was dying, depressed and needed to leave in order to safe his life. Wow, everyone was just holding their breath on how long he would last…
