Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my account password. I love any tips you can offer me!
Yank here in 2022 and *everything* said here came true only worse. It was amazing to watch a "talk" show that was intelligent and entertaining ... and I could watch and listen to Emma Thompson sitting on a rock. Thank you.
I could not agree more, Alexandra. I was feeling a bit low this evening and when she popped into my RU-vid feed, my spirits lifted immediately. Now I've lined up about an hour's worth of her interviews and I can't stop smiling. She is a beautiful human. P.S. I was almost named Alexandra!🤗
Brilliant! This show is a breath of fresh air. Why has it taken so long to discover it? I just wish I could hear the discussions of all the other guests. If only I could move to Scandinavia. But ageism is everywhere now thanks to the USA obsession and no one will give me a job, as a foreigner or senior. Terrible to grow old, be healthy and have a brilliant mind with literally a world of experience and no one wants it. Achilles was right, a short and glorious life rather than long. Unless one is famous and or rich there is no place for people over 50/60! Emma is a rare jewel among the famous. Not only outspoken but she is actually well informed, articulate and intelligent unlike most of her USA Hollywood colleagues. She is the best of British potential. Apropos climate change dear Emma, we've had weeks of + 30°c temps here in Northern Europe, today, tomorrow 35°, to 36° predicted through the next week or two?? something I've never experienced during 43 years in Europe. And NO rain.
Don't say that we're no longer relevant, man. I couldn't hack living in such a world. I'm 50 and preparing to re-enter the workforce after going back to school. What's place is there for one with experience, wisdom, knowledge, yet hasn't become set in particular ways?
@@davidadams2395 David, The WORLD is your oyster, as they say. I know it means you will be a success anywhere you go, but I do NOT understand about the poor oyster........ maybe "The world is your PEARL" might make more sense? Maybe oyster merchants thought it up? Oysters are supposedly aphrodesiacs - but NOT to me. Anyway, chronological age & biological age are different things!! Besides, "50" is the new "30"..............GO FOR WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO, & NEVER STOP LEARNING!! Then you'll be young till the Lord calls you home. cheers!
Ps, here Emma was being a bit polite and reserved regarding living in Hollywood. I saw her here on an episode of Graham Norton where she was a bit more forthcoming. I've lived in LA more than once. It is a place without heart or Soul. It is difficult to describe what a superficial, emotionally draining, mind numbing and soul crushing environment it is, even for the rich and famous if one is a tad enlightened and does not want to play the game. That is why so many have bailed out, become alcoholics/ drug addicts, egotistical maniacs, violent or simply commit suicide.
i recall when the lead singer of metallica said he left Cali for the same reason and I thought, damn it's rly bad over there and they try so hard to paint it pretty
18:17 "Always say what you mean and then you won't have to be thinking 'which lie did I tell about that?', you know, 'which lie did I say?', 'which thing that wasn't really what I thought did I say in order to keep on the right side of this group of people? That's for politicians to play at, but not if you're going to stand up for the things that you believe in"
Sorry Aneta, & 9 thumbs-uppers: The WORD is SPELLED HEROINE. Live & learn, eh? (DON'T take MY word for it - look in the DICTIONARY - any dictionary. cheers!
Ah Emma, DO come to Los Angeles, California.. I'm an elderly lady who likes the way you think. The world needs fixing: we need to laugh, cry and pray ( should that work ?!? ) that change can actually happen. And , btw, I DO believe that you would be quite a force in that sorta white house. Thanks for being out there. :) ( this is me smilin' thru tears about Life as it is right now..)
1992 while on the family yacht in Mediterranean Sea, I was horrified to see the "Greenpeace" flag flying boat dumping trash overboard. I of course thought, with my American naiveté, that it was an accident and dove overboard and began gathering it as the crew laughed and pointed at me. What a sham!
Jesper Rönndal is the comedian next to her, the blond woman is an actress called Sofia Helin, and man next to Sofia is Erik Thorstvedt a norwegian footballer.
Alan Rickman was never her husband, but he’s a good friend. Her husband is their costar in Sense and Sensibility who played Alan’s rival for Kate Winslet’s heart
She's actually been interviewed, or rather interviewing, on this show before. That was quite unusual: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZJ4bMOU23D0.html
No. So? Skavlan has all kinds of guests, like Ricky Gervais and Robbie Williams... Christine Amanpour... And many more from around the globe who are genuinely interesting but not as famous.
