At first glance you might not take him seriously, but watching this, he's one of the most self aware insightful people I've seen interviewed. I'm not a fan of art in general, but I can really appreciate people who figure out life, the world, and their place in it to this extent. Extremely interesting, and much respect to Grayson for who he is. 💙
I so appreciate and respect Grayson Perry. He makes such important contributions to important conversations in our culture and society both with his art and with his mind - which he generously shares through documentaries and interviews like this. Also, it just so happens that my late husband was at Art College with him in the late 70's and early 80's. ❤
This was so so powerful. I'm crying, this is so true. Inequality economically is the thing which defines us. Class is culture. He is such an open, vulnerable and resilient man. I would love to be a man like him. What a muse. What a man. Thankyou so much for posting this!
He’s so right about cultural capital and how it reflects the complexities of class in Britain. I’m other nations it seems more common see monetary income determines class much more but in the UK it is so much layered than that

I think one of the moust beautiful things here, is not even commented. So id like to make one. Regarding MrRogers. Perry said he missed this kind of caracter in his life, and at the same time wanted to be (more) like him. I think that is the most beautiful, that what you did not get yourself, you want to be, and be able to give to others. This sais a lot about a persons traits
