Not only has Jeremy grown so much as a singer since homesick but wow he seems so happy now, watching interviews back in the day he always seemed tired or dragged down but wow he really appears to be loving life

Probably was tired a lot with the busy schedule. Not playing any shows for so long because of Covid probably gave him some much needed rest and relaxation.

Why did they even sign to another label after being fucked over by Victory? Seems like they were doin pretty well independently. Were they just not making enough money?
@Amerikan25

On their headlining tour in 2019 they were selling out arena sized stadiums. No way they have money problems. We're all trying to make sense of this by speculizing the "why".

@yaboynarco 3 года назад
@@Amerikan25 it could be because when you’re independent, there’s no budget for equipment touring etc. the artist them selves have to pay the upfront cost of touring, that’s the biggest draw back for independent artists. Same goes for studio time and equipment, mixing, mastering, art work, publishing, copyright contracts. There’s a lot into it and all the above is harder independently than when you’re signed. Most likely they’ve got a good deal such as a 50/50 or something around that.
@Amerikan25
@Amerikan25 3 года назад
Ummm ok they haven't been independent. They were on victory records and now fueled by ramen. Plus they won the lawsuit for 3.5 mil and ya blah blah blah they had to split it and pay their manager and lawyer etc but you get the point

In my opinion, the song had 4 bangers (Bad Friend, Brick Wall, Mindreader, and FYM [5, if you count Re-Entry]). The only objectively bad songs, to me, were Bloodsucker, Looks Like Hell, and Only Money. That leaves 6 okay songs on the record. I thought the record was just okay. Nothing special, but it wasn't trash or horrible. I'm definitely gonna keep my eyes open for newer songs and I will keep buying merch. It's just that the record felt disingenuous, overproduced, and lacked that something that separates ADTR from the stuff on the radio. I'm happy that they're happy with the record, but the hype they were giving it was extremely reminiscent of Pressure by Wage War.
@vivalaruss
@vivalaruss 3 года назад
I feel like the "Last Chance to Dance was the only good song" crowd are a bunch of crybabies. Like grow up and let your music tastes expand a bit. You'll always have the heavier stuff from the past and the few on newer albums. This album is a really good balance of fun, lightheartedness, lyrical quality, and heavy music. People want music to sound like 2007-2009 forever. Grow up!

You do realize that music is always changing they were never a straight metal band or anything they were a post pop punk hardcore mixture band at most and the fact that any genre of rock isn’t at the top of the game anymore it’s smart for them to make a combination of different sounds on the album not just focusing on one type of sound they need to keep up with the time with their music in order to make money they need during covid which they did by bringing in new people to listen to the album with the versatile sound they made this time around and at the end of the day as well they will make w.e they think will sound good

I love adtr so much. I really really wanted to love this album but I just don’t. No it’s not because there aren’t breakdowns or that they sound different. But it seems like Jeremy is super happy and that’s great to see.

Worst ADTR album I've ever heard. It sounds like they went backwards in their music and sold out to become more popular. The only one who sounds like he got better in the band is Kevin. I understand with age you blow your voice out a little bit, but come on I know you guys are a lot more talented than wanting to become a second coming of Bring Me the Horizon. For someone who has planned for the last 10 years to get the eagle from "For Those Who Have Heart" too many effects on the vocals man. You were such a raw band 10 years ago. I know everyone evolves, but this was way too far. Go ahead and use a little bit of synth and loop but this was over produced. Way too overproduced. I've spent thousands on merch and going to see these guys and I am so bummed out. I dont discount that it's hard to write music, but this band is so much more talented than what this album shows. I'm sorry, I am a huge a day to remember fan and I was so disappointed

That’s your fault for expecting something you thought that they were gonna repeat like they haven’t done that for all these years it’s time To switch things up.like you really expect Jeremy to have a good scream at an older age when playing live or recording even if you support them the way you say you do then support w.e they do they’re older there’s sounds that they grew into that they wanna create that’s what happens when you get older you start liking sounds you didn’t like when you were younger they’re just playing it smart for their health and to have fun making songs they need to bring in new listeners to gain more attraction and money during covid and there’s nothing wrong with that
