This man looks like he could be the most severe no nonsense instructor you'd ever meet, and yet at the same time the guy racing tuk tuks in thailand with a beer in each hand singing Rule, Britannia.

What a concise honest man. Most enjoyable interview. I can’t imagine any pilot having a more variable career with so many different aircraft. This guy oozes professionalism.

I was lucky enough as a teenager to work on civilian version of Wessex in Beirut. My dad was an engineer for a private company in Beirut in early 1980s. As there wasn't a suitable school for me, I spent many days at the airport helping out on the flightline and changing sparkplugs on the engines etc... I was lucky enough to get a trip to Tripoli up north for the day. On the return flight, I was allowed to fly in the left hand side on the way back! What a thrill.... Most of the pilots, from memory, were ex- Air America Pilots, a great bunch of wacky guys!

A really likeable, humble pilot. The way he was constantly emphasising the roles and importance of fellow crew says a lot about him.

This is a modest man who obviously respect the other people around him, and loves flying.

I literally fell off a Wessex at about 10,000ft. I was on a run in to free fall with a group. Whilst positioning in the door, I, (as rehearsed), put my foot on the wheel. As I did so the wheel spun causing me to slip. The beers were on me that night... Many memories of standing in a field, soaking wet cold and hungry waiting on an extraction, (or a re location). Kudos to the Navy pilots who would be there on time in all weather..

Really great channel, enjoyed all the interviews very much, one thing though, id like to know more about how the aircraft fly. He mentioned how the wessex could bite you when loaded up, I'd love to know how, the nitty gritty details about its flight characteristics.

Can we maybe get like an index of these? With timestamps? I love these but I’d love to have timestamps to jump around because I don’t have time to listen to the whole things upon release.

It is on the list of things to do but it is very time consuming being a one man band and all :)

Must have been an added thrill for the Lancaster crew that got to fly with the Canadian Lancaster in company.
