Phil Lynott a very talented wise and modest man. He wrote and composed beautiful songs. With his beautiful, strong voice he was able to sing in a variety of musical styles. He loved his country , loved people but for some reason he was unhappy . Although he tried to hide it , there was sadness in his eyes , sadness in his voice. He was more lively on stage seeing his fans. I love Philip's voice and i'm very sorry i couldn't be at his concerts but those such were times . Phil Lynott is legend a beautiful legend is still alive in our hearts. We miss you Phil . ♥️🎶🎸
As much as i like Phil he wasnt wise. Nor was he singing over a braod range of musical styles. He was pretty limited as a singer. And his lack of wisdom had him writing alot of tirds that didnt chart or get radio play. And his dalliance with skag was a fools choice. Sadly he lost it all because of it.
This broke Phil's heart, All that was needed some time for the boys and Phil to heal themselves, get off the hard stuff it was never any good. Phil drove himself into the ground and gave too much of himself to others and did not keep enough for himself. Phil was a born rocker and Thin Lizzy was the very best rocking band in this world. God bless you Phil with many gifts but you left us to soon
@@johnnyveganite9141 that doesn’t detract from other people that suffer as well. Each society has its own problems and recognising these problems allow others to have empathy and try to help others. And to try to prevent them in the future also.
@@SineaddeFaoite you're a victim enabler, I cure the victim mentality and allow people to realise they have a wonderful life, they just can't see it. I came from and healed myself from that mindset so I can speak from personal experience.
I named my son after him. Another Philip Parris^^. Gladly saw them live once, back in the day @ Monsters Of Rock. What a band, what a voice. Truly great.
A fan since 76. When I went to school for music in LA on the performance stage I would do Thin Lizzy tunes. The guys from Europe would lose their minds! And friends were made. Thank you Philip Paris... Look at this video. 25,000 views between 2021 and 2024 and growing. I would say that he is still an influence on this planet. Thanks for posting this! And to all my four string friends to the low end in Europe, Chow baby!
He just seems so sad and defeated here. I understand it, Lizzy were ending, he had just finished performing, and it was a huge thing for him. You'd just want to reach out and give that man a hug and just say thank you. I hope he really knew how much he was (and still is) loved by people.
Still bummed A reformed Lizzy didn't get a chance to play live aid.Phil would've had that crowd at his command for some singing and howling would've been brilliant. God bless you Phil.
😢😢😢 such a beautiful soulful man, but his eyes were tinged with sorrow and sadness… and every time I hear “old school” and “still in love with you”… it’s like his pain is felt all over again. May you rest in eternal peace now with the mother who loved you so much and was so proud of you, You were special, You are missed all these years later and you always will be ❤
Check out the song break down he did with junior its actually really good! You can find it on RU-vid he also did he fell like a soldier with junior and time theyre both very good songs! I actually messaged junior on Instagram about the songs he said they never got released due to some business stuff with a record company or something but theyre class songs check em out youll enjoy them
A sad time. So much respect for this man. Bumped into him twice, impressive. Saw the Greedy Bastards in Camden in 78 I think it was, saw Lizzy twice and was at the post gig party in Kew after the first ill fated Grand Slam gig at the Marquee. Such an amazing legacy.
People talk about this inner sadness in him. Could it be people didn't give him his proper credit or have a willingness to understand him? Im certain most of his faults a lot them anyways were do his disposition, not his actual true character. Shame for those that had to know the worst of him im sure he didn't mean for it to be that way. Unfortunately i cant speak on Philips behalf. I know that would bother me but after so much time you build up emotional calluses and find an emotional crutch like alcohol or drugs. We love you always Philip you are the best musician of our time. Sacred and sentimental to my heart anyways.
When I get to heaven i and Jesus asks me, what was the best bond that band says play live and produce the best songs I will have no problem saying It was Thin Lizzy
If there is interview footage from Reading after the gig surfacing, is there also footage from the actual gig? There were a camera man on stage to video feed the big screen. Was there film in his camera?
That would be something! As a kid the legend was that there was also a video of the life/live album (we know now there isn't) but how cool would that be? Especially when all the ex Lizzys start appearing on stage!!!
If he had lived, Thin Lizzy would've absolutely had a resurgence. Of course he took it hard, who wouldn't? But they could've found the long view. Of course the music would return, it just needed some time for people to rediscover it.
i see it for the 2nd time now..... i could swear the last time he had this military uniform jacket on ... and the bass on a strap hanging from behind his back ... is there another interview of phil in a tend or so ?... from around 1984 or so ?
It was scott gorman that break up thin lizzy and not phil lynott .scott gorman has already plans for leave thin lizzy in 1981 but phil whant one more album and tour and 1983 was the end of thin lizzy.
