I feel so sorry for this first man. I understand the anger you feel, but I think the questions you asked, confused him. He is obviously a simple man, his people have endured suffering and the loss of their culture due to the Russians, another culture lost to imperialism. It is incredibly sad to see these people forced into a war they do not even understand, that a government can have such hold over its people and it shows just how all of us are a product of the information feed to us by our Governments. We all need to be diligent in finding out factual information, to make informed choices of those we vote into power. I know this is hard in some countries such as Rusha and you do not know what you do not know! I feel so lucky to live in a country where I still feel I have some freedom and the ability to make informed decisions. The world is totally fucked up.

I listen to this interview in Russian first. The computer voices in English completely lack the intonations that you can hear in Russian. I understand that you guys do not have much funds, but please try to consider dubbing instead of the computerized voice translation. Presenting these interviews in English is very important, so the viewers around the world will understand what an enormous crime Russia is committing to the humanity...

I can't even imagine the privations of people like this individual. I'm not making excuses, but I fully understand the limitations at all levels of this guys. who is deceived, and thrown into a conflict they don't even understand. once again I repeat, this fact does not minimize the seriousness of what they did. but when you live in a dictatorship, and that brainwashing comes from a young age. this behavior turns out to be natural, in this environment.

@@terjeoseberg990the Ukrainian Intellegence services should be doing more to encourage desertion and fragging from russian infantry. Lie to them if you have to, use their own "logic" and assumptions against them by pointing out the hypocrisy of russia and outright lies told to them, play into their cultural sensibilities to get the outcome desired and emotional response. Russians may be invaders but they still have a sense of self-preservation, and if they can be made to believe that it is in their own best interests they will do so, mostly.

Your question has been asked many times over the last 15 months. The answers are very vague and unsatisfactory, all they say is they are not political and don't watch tv. They will be proud to be Russian like everyone is proud of their country. A question like that will give the same answer unless they're being untruthful. No Russian wants war but then again who does except the ones who started it cause they are not the ones to go to the front lines.

The part I never seem to understand is how people can distance themselves from their government when the shit hits the fan. Understand this people, for the love of God you must understand, that your government is one and the same......YOU! The majority of the people support their government, the minority who don't still obey their government, that is the consequences of being the minority . Governments do not represent individual people, so to speak. The government is the people, because it is always the people who have the power. When people of a country unite, whether it be for a good cause or bad cause, there is nothing the government can do. (Government leaders may abandon their office and escape to live in exile when the people reach their breaking point) some people, like Russian people for example, seem to take much longer to reach their breaking point. And we're still waiting. It is in the best interest of the Russian people to reach their "that's it!, I've had enough" point sooner, rather than later. Money is going to come from somewhere to compensate for the pain and suffering they caused the Ukrainian people, the destruction of their cities and infrastructure, and so forth. The Russian people will be paying from their pockets for a very, very, long time.😮😮😮and most Russians have not yet realized the bleak future that awaits them

I can't believe the types of persons (Ruskies) there are in the Ruskie army. Obviously they know nothing of history and appear to be quite illiterate. At least this guy knows about his heritage; I'll give him that. The mother is concerned but doesn't even understand what's going on (the truth). The Ruskies lack what the Ukrainians have and that is tactics. The Ruskie soldier even admitted it. Working a squad of infantry with a support vehicle is killing the Ruskies; kinda reminds me of WWII just after the Normandy invasion. The infantry was greeted with the hedge country of France. This is just a larger scale of what they encountered. The infantry is taking each strip of land between the fields and flushing out the unsuspecting enemy. I think I heard the Ruskie soldier say they used a Beufeng radio for communication. Cheap Chinese VHF/UHF ham radio. Slava Ukraine! Cheers from eastern TN

You'd think a former Soviet nation would show a bit more respect for those still subject to Russian rule. No offence, but what exactly do you expect a mother from some tiny village 1000s of miles from Moscow to do? It's one thing to point out how badly the Russian state is treating their people. It's a whole other thing to call his mother a slave, and refuse to show some basic manners. Do you think we Irish view the English, Scottish, and Welsh who joined the British army, and served here were slaves? A lot of those were from poor towns, and villages. I also highly doubt many of them really understood what was going on here either. Or that their mothers got to pick where they were sent. Níor bhris focal maith fiacal riamh.
