I was actually one of those kids calling in to WBCN and bugging the DJs to play Good Times Roll and Just What I Needed. Loved that station and loved those songs. Music was so amazing at that time, so glad to have experienced it.
And here we are 22+ years after BENJAMIN ORR 's untimely passing. Multi-instrumentalist, lovely vocals, song writer, generous good man. Standing on stage from his HS Years, on the Big stage since 1977 when THE CARS broke hitting the major airwaves, This man has been dedicated up and until a few weeks before his passing, the man must have surely thought the crowds dwindled, was he ever wrong. We're still all here from our youth, now as senior citizens. It's soon to be 2023...and we're still listening , watching and in awe Ben. Rest in Peace Ben and Ric. Immortal on film and recordings, play on THE CARS. Legends. Pure talent Ric, Ben, Greg, Elliot, David. Miss this whole Era. THE world pre-2000 was a much better place, and different breed of human beings. The so called progress is our demise.....
This answers a question I've had about how they made their arrangements. I wondered if it was Ric dictating everything, but it's just the opposite. 5 talents, each one contributing. Good stuff.
if this was 1986, both Ric and Ben sounded so positive about their friendship and how great the music was for them both, but yet in 1987 Ric broke up the band.
@@atomicwedgie8176 Three times each marriage produced two sons. He left Paulina and two of his sons from a previous marriage out of his will. Paulina ultimately got her fair share, the sons-not the ones with Paulina I don’t know.
