Poor Louis, traded his first controlling boyfriend for another, more passive aggressive one but he still hasn't realized it yet! This is going to be a roller-coaster of a season, and I can't wait for more! 😁
Armand was wearing contacts to hide his vampire eyes. In the episode where he reveals himself he’s somewhat out of frame but you can see him put his finger in his eye taking the contacts out before he takes off the gloves.
Right! Also, I'm the kind of nerd who looked up when contact lenses were invented and when they were widely available. They really started growing in popularity in the 1970's so it fits with the flashback. 😂 Louis could fly under the radar somewhat with his gorgeous green eyes in a darkened lounge bar, but Armand needed something extra. His character is also obsessed with new (to him) technologies so it makes sense. I love this show. 😊
Is it a vampire bond? Lestat doesn't have it with Claudia. Louis was just using it as an excuse. And Lestat IS Louis in these visions. Lestat is Louis' projection of his guilt. It'll be interesting to see how that projection infiltrates the rest of the season.
I didn't catch on that the kids were singing about Daciana on my first watch. She had probably been out there for a long time, and became a legend to the people in the village. I also didn't realize that the little boy was making fun of Claudia for being black when he called her "crow", which means black to them. That's why she shoved him down.
I love how we see Claudia's for the first time, the scene looks like a rebirth and it's so fitting, she became everything Lestat wanted from Louis, a full vampire now on a mission to finding others, she is so desperate that was willing to make friends with a zombiepire lol The scariest thing is that this desperation can blind you!
Not sure if anyone mentioned it already, but in season 1, Louis mentioned that the whole apartment was their coffin. So they were able to sleep in a decorative bed lol
Can you BELIEVE Jacob Anderson doesn't already have an Emmy for playing Louis in season 1?! If he doesn't get at least a nomination for some kind of award based on this episode alone, I'll call bs on all tv/film industry awards forever.
She was making them wrong. That man was not close enough to death to be given the blood and change correctly. Daciana was twisted and making remnants. Armand is showing his diva side and I’m loving it. I look forward to seeing how devious he truly is. I also what to know what is the point of Armand and Louis wanting to have this interview.
The creatures Daciana was making are called revenants. I wonder if she was also made wrong or she has just gone mad from age or loneliness. Vampires aren't supposed to be made too young or too old. Diana Gheorgian, the Romanian actress who played Daciana, gave a really great performance for the time she had onscreen.
@@psychedelicpegasus7587I think she had gone mad from age and loneliness. I think she may have been too weak to make a normal vampire, which is why they came out as revenants.
I don’t think you got the point about the hallucination Lestat😢😢😢 that is not him hunting Louis, it’s Louis imagining him, I don’t think he is torturing Louis. I think it’s just Louis cannot let him go.
Loved the reaction! ❤ I think Claudia is so desperate to find someone to connect to bc they live such a long time and she's been pretty lonely. She's also super curious about like vampire origins and stuff so I get why she wanted to learn more but it just didn't happen for her this time 😭 Louis hallucinating Lestat is such a cool way to show where Louis mind is at as well! Overall a really good ep ❤
So glad to see you ladies reacting to this so quickly. This episode was a little bit slow. It seems like a lot and not enough information all at the same time. A lot of background information that I'm quite certain they're going to build on throughout the rest of the season. Also I'm not going to lie. I need Lestat back in Action quickly. Armand is okay, but he is no Lestat. Eta.. also although the first Claudia did a great job I am liking the replacement so far.
Wow - I didn’t think it was slow at all- as a matter of fact, the word “meditative” comes to mind. This season will be an exploration of Louis’ psyche and I’m here for the ride!
You do realize in the book Lestat is only present near the end and very briefly. These scenes are all added because Sam is brilliant, so any is better than none. I for one am intrigued by the new dynamics and the actors are giving fantastic performances...all. Love Delainey she's doing unbelievably well...I knew she would. Assad and Jacob are gorgeous together ❤❤❤
Lestat was hardly in this part of the book, he's actually in it more in this season than the books. This is Louis story right now. I also didn't think it was slow at all, too short imo because I wanted more.
and it's so depressing and scary. That the abuse never truly leaves you especially when you're still in love with the man who caused it. Oh Louis, my sweetie, I feel so bad for him 😭
Good to see you guys again! Amber I stole your hairstyle. I've never done braids before and I probably shouldn't have started with micro braids. I wish I knew how long I would have to sit for it, bc my back is killing me but it was definitely worth it. ❤
