@@pandabear7216 he’s as multi faceted as Lestat can be!!!! Like the more we learn about Lestat the more aspects I’m sure you’ll see but the actor is phenomenal. We just haven’t gotten to see more of Lestat yet

@@jasonlang9074 i disagree, he's not very nuanced. this is especially noticeable since we have much more source material now - when the movie was made you didnt have as many books and as much of knowledge about lestat so it's a shame he portrays him so one note. i think hes great and having fun with the character but definitely one note esp compared to jacob's work with louis,

@@pandabear7216 there is source material but the show is actually still Lois version of Lestat. This is how Lois remembers Lestat and both of characters are unreliable narrators. So whatever you're actually seeing as one note is intentional on the writers part.

@@shippendales8543 i know that HOWEVER the writers had more source material than in the movie as there are now what 18 books altogether? so the lestat we're seeing in this show is closer to the book version than the movie one

I hope Jacob, Sam & Bailey get nominated for an Emmy. Hopefully the show gets multiple nominations. IWTV for Outstanding Drama Series, Jacob for Lead Actor, Sam Supporting Actor, Bailey Supporting Actress, Ep 1 for Directing, Ep 5 or 7 for Writing, Casting, Cinematography, Costume Design, Hairstyling, Makeup, Music Composition, Picture Editing, Production Design, Sound Editing & Sound Mixing. If they get nominated for these 16 categories we'll all be celebrating because they 100% deserve it. I doubt they'll win that many Emmy if I'm being honest because of the competition, but I'll be more than happy if they get atleast 10-15 nominations & maybe a few wins in there. I see them winning Production Design, Costume Design, maybe Makeup & Hairstyling.

Jacob’s face when Sam said Lestat need a certain level of attention. I feel like that triggered him and then he had to throw in the other people in the relationship. 😅They both feel very strongly about their fictional characters.(biggest defenders of Lestat and Louis) I watch a lot of interviews for other series and I’ve never seen actors behaving like this 🤭

finally someone said it. Maybe if Lestat wasn't cheating on him 24/7 Louis would actually be more inclined to show him love, instead he feels pathetic because he knows he's staying with a man who's cheating on him

@@kxc7580 It's not for that reason, Louis wants Lestat to change, he wants Lestat to have more love for humanity, he knows Lestat only loves him, Louis. It is strange because Lestat loves Louis precisely because they are different from each other he loves Louis for the humanity that Louis still carries within him.

@@TheLoverspit Strongly disagree. Louis is not at fault for being beaten, abused and manipulated by Lestat. DV victims are never at fault for the abuse they suffer at the hands of their abuser. Furthermore, Louis's personal decision to feed on animals rather than humans was not an example of him wanting Lestat to change but an example of Louis struggling with the morality of killing people for his survival. It wasn't about wanting Lestat to change for him. No, what bothered Louis about Lestat is that the man he loved wanted him to conform to what he thought a real vampire should be, a killer. Lestat wanted Louis to change for him, after he had promised (on the night he turned Louis) that he would never have to hide who he was, ever again. "Be all the beautiful things you can be without apology," only applied to what Lestat wanted Louis to be. The beautiful, sweet and sensitive soul that Louis actually was...was never truly taken into account. So yes, I strongly disagree with any notion that Louis wanted Lestat to change, and thereby provoked Lestat to beat him until Louis was unrecognizable; especially when the first three episodes clearly showed that Louis felt like a botched vampire or as someone who felt he wasn't good enough. And in that regard, I'm siding with Jacob 100%.

@@imwalkingonsunshine6850 I'm sorry but I respect Louis too much to believe that he is this fragile being without will, Lestat loves Louis for being Louis simple as that. They don't have an easy relationship but they are each other's home. Jacob made me see Louis and love him.

Thankyou for saying this. I love both characters, but I have such a personal deep love for Louis specifically. Major book fan, so I really do understand Lestat and his actions. As someone who's survived abuse as well, it makes me sick to my soul that there's such a large part of the Fandom trying their damndest to blame Louis for the abuse. It just causes such an icky sick feeling in my stomach when I come across comments and posts trying to absolve Lestat of his actions while brutally demonizing Louis. It's so wrong. This man has been abandoned and manipulated and abused by damn near every person in this show. He's been hurt in the cruelest ways by those people who "love" him, time and time again. But still he stays, still he tries and still he loves. Unconditionally. And yet parts of this Fandom just want to further abuse him. It's the worst. So thankyou, for leaving this comment and seeing it the way you do

This is probably exactly it, yeah 😂😭 the cycle of Lestat needing constant reassurance and closeness which triggers Louis’ withdrawal due to feeling emotionally suffocated... Add to that Louis’ shame of being a vampire/unwillingness to kill humans, which Lestat might interpret as Louis being ashamed of Lestat, and Louis struggling with the reality of losing his human family, dealing with depression. They needed couples therapy, not a child 😭

Claudia was on a fake hunger strike and hiding in her coffin and Louis was trying to feed her snacks

it's Interview with the Vampire! They made a (very good) tv series of it. You can watch on AMC+ I haven't seen the Tom Cruise/brad Pitt film but each one is definitely it's own thing!
