Akasha is the Mother of all vampires...the first vampire. Her blood is the beginning of their line. Blood strength? You have no idea...Lestat's blood is more powerful than Armand's, hands down.

I'm really interested to see how it plays out! I don't know much about vampire lore other than what I've seen in this series, and it seems like vampire traits are pretty contingent on who made you and how strong your will is. If Lestat and Louis bring out their inner Akasha next year, it's gonna be a wild ride!
@dominiquedevereux7205
@dominiquedevereux7205 Месяц назад
A vampire's strength (out-the-gate) is determined by the power of their maker. I also believe, though I could be wrong since it's been a minute since I read the older VC books, that it also depends how long it's been since the maker made another fledgling. I BELIEVE the more they make in a short period of time --- "short" for vampires anyway --- it dilutes the power in the blood. But, I could be wrong bout that point. But anyway, Magnus was 300yrs old when he made Lestat, which isn't THAT old compared to vamps that are a 1,000 yrs plus --- granted they make up a smaller percentage of the total vampires community. But given that he hadn't made any vampires b4 Lestat, ALL the power he had went to Lestat. Vampire blood 🩸is like wine 🍷 as it ages ---- it gets better & stronger. Especially the longer it stays corked up 🍾. So since Lestat was the 1st (and only) to drink almost all of Magnus' blood, he inherited the full power of a 300yr old bottle of "wine 🩸🍷." So he was powerful for a fledgling right out-the-gate, but he still was nothing compared to Marius who is 2,000yrs old when they 1st meet. Now. Aside from the strength a fledgling inherits from their maker, the other factors that determine their strength is how long THEY'VE been alive after being turned cuz as they age, that adds to their own power. And ALSO, at anytime they drink a copies amount and/or repeated amounts of blood from older and/or more powerful vampires than themselves, that can give them a power boost that can potentially put them LEAGUES ahead, in terms of power, of vampires considerably older than they are. That was the case with Lestat. I think he was maybe only 15 - 20yrs old --- definitely less than half a century ---- when he drank from Marius (2,000 at the time) & Akasha (the Mother/1st of ALL Vampires & 6,000+yrs old at the time) 1st time. Then about 70 -80yrs after that in "Queen of the Damned," he spends like a week or 2 drinking from Akasha non-stop after she kidnaps him. That instantly made him just as, 8f not slightly more powerful than Marius & even vampires as old as Akasha. Armand is older than Lestat by bout 400 - 500yrs, and older than Lestat's maker, Magnus, by about 100yrs & Lestat became strong enough to kill Armand after that week with Akasha. So basically, any vampires can get an instant power upgrade if they drink from a more powerful vampire frequently enough (or is made by 1). So in this season finale, we see Daniel has been turned by Armand. And we know from Armand's own admission in the episode where he refused to make Claudia because he finds it "repulsive" that he had never made a fledgling b4. So given he's 500yrs old at the time he makes Daniel, that means Daniel is EXCEEDINGLY powerful for a fledgling. In the books, I think Daniel is his only fledgling as well. And given the fact Armand made Daniel DESPITE the fact he detest the process of doing so, proves how SPITEFUL he is to break his own rules just to get back & Daniel & Louis after Louis broke up with him in this last episode. It also verifies that he didn't want to make Madeleine for Claudia cuz he didn't want Madeleine to have his strong blood so she would be easier to kill when she was put on trial.

I don't think Armand planned to kill Louis, he planned to get rid of Claudia. Armand said to Louis, "I want u more than anything." I believe Armand planned to save Louis, but Lestat wasn't having that. Armand's convoluted plan was to get rid of Claudia, the coven, and to make Louis hate Lestat.
@iseemelanie
@iseemelanie Месяц назад
I agree that Armand wasn't actively trying to kill Louis. I don't think he wanted him dead at all - he wanted for a companion. What bothers me is that he went along with Santiago's plan, knowing that Santiago wanted to kill him.
@MargauxChanning
@MargauxChanning Месяц назад
@@iseemelanie There's one other possibility - kill Louis and Claudia thereby cutting Lestat's connection to them and then Armand could be with Lestat again (don't forget, Armand was involved in Nicky's death too).

@@MargauxChanning yeah that wouldn’t surprise me. I definitely want to hear the story of the Armand/Lestat relationship from Lestat’s perspective. When Armand was telling it to Daniel, he ended it so abruptly.

This series has such good writing, excellent actors - and has destroyed me emotionally lol (I have not read the novels either - and won't read until the the whole serial has ended.) I love this series just too much and I might find Jacob hot as hell that might influence my thinking😆. Your analysis overall is very much in-line with my own thinking. I had similar questions as you have - I think we get more answers next season. I feel quite a few questions are sill not answered.

Just like you said I feel like Louis was waiting to find the truth to leave Armand. And that’s why he didn’t even go off that much on Armand. He was waiting to be free.

Akasha is the mother of all vampires. She is ancient. Lestat having Magnus' & Akasha in him makes him the strongest fledgling. Season 3 will be AMAZING bc it is said to be following Lestat and his journeys. Daniel being turned by Armand is diabolical bc Armand had previously said that he refuses to turn people so if we were to believe him... That means Daniel is Armand's first fledgling. Whether Armand did this out of spite or a last minute effort to appeal to Louis- these men gotta stop giving people to people as gifts 🤣 All three of them need help. Most toxic throuple ever

@effers6854 Месяц назад
I agree that Louis knew Daniel was going to get turned. He gave Daniel $10 mil and immortality bc you can't be a broke vamp. Also agree with you about Louis wanting to break up with Armand. Feels like the interview was purposely set up to find out the truth regarding Claudia's death and he knew Daniel would figure it out. It was a set up!!

This next take is dark but... Claudia was doomed to go mad. Kid vamps don't end well 😬 Her creation was purely selfish and she should have never happened ugh, its all so tragic. But Louis was right, she was so powerful that her energy is present on them as it should be.

Someone pointed out on twitter that the liability waiver he was signing was Louis signing up to be with lestat eventually because they have used Hurricane as a metaphor for lestat throughout the show. For example, Louis and Lestat got married during a storm in 1x1 at the church, Armand mentions how “there’s no scripting lestat, you cannot script a hurricane”, and during their reunion there was a hurricane coming and they reconcile during a storm. So basically it is a way of showing that Louis know the dangers that entails when he reconciles with lestat but this time he’s willing to express his feelings instead of withholding them like he did in most of season 1.

That is so insightful! I love it. Thanks for sharing it with me - I knew there had to be some meaning behind such a mundane thing.
@tdali8347

When Lestat said, "Let's see how long it holds", he was talking about what Daniel later called, "Seventy-seven years based on a seismic lie." In Magnus' lair, with Louis murderous about Lestat crossing the ocean to kill their daughter, I don't see Louis believing Lestat if he had taken credit for saving him, when Armand had said different. So Lestat gave Armand a warning: Let's see how long it (your big, fat lie about saving Louis' life) holds. Turns out, a pretty long frikkin' time!
@iseemelanie
@iseemelanie 17 дней назад
@@tdali8347 thanks for this! Yeah the semantics kinda threw me off. But it makes perfect sense that Lestat is directing that statement to Armand and not Louis (or the both of them). I agree, with the freshness of it all, Louis wouldn’t have been able to receive the truth.

I really love your commentary! I too have NOT read the books. I am only relying on the movies as well. However, I have some questions: Louis and Armand knew about the great laws. Why would they proceed with the interview in the first place? Was the plan all along to either kill or turn Daniel? For example, after the interview was over, they both said they had a BIG treat for him? However, Daniel laid it all out for them with the original script! Also, did Armand have Louis under some control? Anywho, I loved this series! The acting was superb! Can not wait till the next!
@iseemelanie
@iseemelanie Месяц назад
I have the same questions. In season 1, I assumed Louis was doing the interview because he just wanted to do it for himself. But after I learned about the great laws in season 2 and saw Armand actively taking part in them, I assumed Armand was going to kill Daniel (or do something to control/erase his mind, as well as ruin his documentation). I was also curious about that big treat ... the way Louis said it sounded a little nefarious. But he and Daniel seemed to be closer after episode 5 so I don't know if he could kill/harm him. I'm positive Armand could and would. I'm really curious to know just how many times Armand messed with Louis' mind. That incident with the pictures proved to me that Armand was doing all sorts of little, seemingly inane and mundane things on a constant basis to mess with Louis. And now knowing that Louis was only with Armand to get back at Lestat, Armand's resentment level must have been endless.

I think Armand 1000% knows who Akasha is I think Luis does not know B/c remember for the longest Luis & Claudia did not know of any other vampires existence I know off screen Lestat said he told Luis, but I think it was removed for a reason. Armand knows about the history of vampires , Luis doesn’t.

I love Daniel and Louis relationship too. Daniel makes me laugh so much! His IDGAF attitude throughout the whole series entertained me so and I can’t wait to see more of it next season in his vampire form. I agree that Louis and Lestat shouldn’t be together right now. I think Louis really needs this time alone to discover himself. But I love seeing the two of them onscreen so much. Sam and Jacob have such great chemistry! But yeah in terms of what the characters need, they should take their time before getting back together.

oh ,I disagree ..Daniel most certainly DID/DOES like Armand ..they have been eye f"ing watching each other low down thru the whole interview process and in SF73............................he likes to put his snark up against Armands trickiness ..............................and Armand would never have just killed his "fascinating boy" ...the pet names .the unbidden advice they gave each other ..Daniel and Armand had real chemistry and a love language that Armand never had before with another human ....and Daniel is a person that will never leave Armand because he had that human maturity to grow older with ..that will fix some of Armands ongoing abandonment issues ....... yes Lestat and Louis had passion..and I think some of Louis's role will be looking out for how Lestat is percieved and protected from other vamps /even tho Lestat is the powerful one..I could see Louis as an private enforcer type .........your review was great .....next season I want to see if they will revel what really happened to Nicki in detail and Armands possible further part in it

But as far as the TV show goes … you think Daniel wanted Armand? I know young Daniel offers his services to him in 73, but I feel like he just did that to save his life. Present-day Daniel didn’t like and deeply resented Armand.
