Nice Video, Medina seemed to be subtly sharing his opinion on how the championship should be truly won. Good question choice, nice to see the surfers with a bit more of a relaxed interview.
Thank you, and, yes, I liked that Gabriel took the question in that direction and it seems to me he likes the non-finals approach when you listen to the answer even though he's won in the Finals.
Stoked for you this is awesome! Would be cool to get some more personal questions instead of regurgitated WSL questions. Sometimes it’s hard for me to listen to post heat interviews because every question is the same in every event. Viewers might want to hear more of the fun questions, what did you eat for breaky? Who do you hang with around the events? Pre surf amp up song? Stuff like that could be cool
Thought you were in the booth for a minute. Your voice is identical to strider while he was commentating. Thanks Jack for helping me surfvive another contest
I reckon you played it a little bit safe as you are establishing yourself, but would be cool to get some novelty questions such as asking Gabs who he would find most challenging to surf against in the final, or Griff what aerial manoeuvres he thinks suits that wave
Thanks for this comment. Yeh, I think I want to walk the line between WSL 'how do you feel?' questions (which I'm not criticizing necessarily) and being Trash Journalism in your face gotcha type questions. I'm basically a guy that loves surfing and stammers around while he talks, but is curious about what the pros are experiencing. Plus the WSL is watching me. Haha. It was my first time on the inside and it has a different feel, but I like it.
Thank you. Tati looked good in pre event warm up, but couldn't get that last turn against Caity. I think get her in the top 5 and anything can happen. Let's see.
Heres a potential future question, do they leave the boards that they take to an event with then bacn hone or leave them behind stored with someone for next year? Also, how do they get those ginormous trophies home?
They almost always take the boards with them unless it's Hawaii. I asked Caroline about taking her trophy home and she said she was going to carry it on the plane! haha. Gabriella did the same when she won that Big Barrel at Margaret River Gabriella now has a little runner up barrle and a Big Barrel). She just tucked it under her arm and walked on Board! I wonder it it fits in the overhead? I should have asked. That question is awesome and I will use it in my next interviews for a video.
