If you've not watched my 1st video (1 of 2) then it might be worth a watch before this one. Its2 basically setting up an Intex Excursion 4 boat with a home made floor that folds completely to transport it easily.
The Intex Excursion 4 is less common than the 5 as it is smaller, but that is why I purchased it. I was all down to the weight, and it being completely portable in one trip, down to the lake or river, on my own if needed!
Everything that is taken from the truck, is in 2 boxes (which convert into seats) except the motor, which I purchased a bag for to carry over my shoulder.
It all goes into the boat, so no return to the vehicle is needed. I hope this helps someone, and gives them ideas, just in the way that I got from watching RU-vid!

Hi, looking good! Do you might still know the dimensions for the floor?

Hi. Sorry it's taken so long to reply, and thanks for the compliment! I used 12mm ply, measured the internal dimensions in several places as it changes width from one end to the other. Once it fit in the boat (not too tight, allowing for the carpet) I cut it into 4 sections. Then, with 12 x chrome fire rated quality hinges, with no sharp edges (4 on each of the 3 joins) I hinged the center one opposite to the two either side so it could fold in a W shape. I used thick screws that went through the board and with an angle grinder, ground off the screw spikes, flush with the wood. Then, spray glue mounted van lining carpet to both sides, wrapping around the edges with extra glue, and trimmed. Blow up just the floor section of the boat first. When fitted, I slide pipe lagging foam tubes around the edges, before inflating the boat around the floor. Hope this helps.

Nice one for this vid. Looks like a nice set up. I am interested in seeing how you made the floor.

@@leabetts4012 so when you wrap both sides of the carpet around and glue them, do they just overlap? Really love your design want to do one for myself. Also you wouldn't happen to know the dimensions of the boards would you. Thank you :)
