I wanted this boat to be completely portable to the river or lake, by one person, from the vehicle, in one trip. For that reason, I had to make the floor fold in 4 sections. I used 12mm ply, yacht varnished, hinged and carpeted. The engine is in a bag over my shoulder, everything else, including the battery is in 2 boxes on wheels which turn into seats. Everything taken from the vehicle to the river or lake goes into the boxes. I'm yet to test it on water, but it should work out ok!
I had to film this in 2 seperate videos due to having a poor quality phone. Please look at both 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 videos to appreciate it fully. Thanks! (P.S. this is my 1st RU-vid video ever)

Great set up we are planning to replace inflatable floor with honeycomb panels. Will post on our channel when we are done. Currently runs great with trolling motor but flexes too much.

That floor modification is the best I've seen so far. Could you PLEASE provide us with some information on how you did it? Or at least some info on all the parts you used? It looks very portable and sturdy. Thank you for your video!

Hi. Sorry it's taken so long to reply, and thanks for the compliment! I used 12mm ply, measured the internal dimensions in several places as it changes width from one end to the other. Once it fit in the boat (not too tight, allowing for the carpet) I cut it into 4 sections. Then, with 12 x chrome fire rated quality hinges, with no sharp edges (4 on each of the 3 joins) I hinged the center one opposite to the two either side so it could fold in a W shape. I used thick screws that went through the board and with an angle grinder, ground off the screw spikes, flush with the wood. Then, spray glue mounted van lining carpet to both sides, wrapping around the edges with extra glue, and trimmed. Blow up just the floor section of the boat first. When fitted, I slide pipe lagging foam tubes around the edges, before inflating the boat around the floor. Hope this helps.

This looks like exactly what I need. Do you have the dimensions of the individual boards. Would be really helpful! Also, why did you use 4 sections instead of 3 maybe? was it for storage purposes? Is it sturdy at the seams of the hinges that flex? I was thinking of doing two bigger sections with a hinge on top connecting the big sections (so its rigid and can't bend) and then a small section up front with a hinge on the back so it fold inward towards the other pieces (still keeping everything only 2 layers thick.) would be a little bigger for storage, but I think would work for me. Do you find the hinges to be helpful as in do you think it would perform the same without them or would the seems be weak? did you have to cut extra wood out of the sections to make room for the hinge? sorry I know that's a lot, but I can't find any good videos that really show you how to do it. Thank you!

It changes from the back to the middle and the front but 32.5" wide is about the most width you will need and 99" long

The Excursion 4 just fits in a 145ltr box. I'm not sure that the Excursion 5 would though.

Int this Seat to high. Propeller needs to be at 30cm in the water

The height of the propeller is adjustable when the boat is in the water. It works out fine and the seats are the perfect height. I would like a slight extension to the handle, but apart from that, it's ok.
