Every time I re watch this fight, it gives me chills. Rock Lee’s Backstory, being the first to punch Garaa and dropping the weights are what made this fight one of the greatest anime fights in anime history.🥶🔥🔥

You gotta admit the chunin exams was one of the greatest arcs in anime history, I watched this fight for the first time a decade ago and 9 year old me was traumatized when Gaara crushed Lee's left limbs😢It made me hate Gaara and sad that Lee may never be a ninja again.....This was Rock Lee's greatest moment in the entirety of Naruto

It's really a shame that Rock Lee got shafted as a side character in Shippuden. With an absolutely stellar introduction in the chunin exams and beating Sasuke, I'd argue that Rock Lee was a bigger underdog than Naruto. Naruto is the MC, but the way the fight went down wanted me to have Rock Lee get what he wanted over Naruto's dream of being Hokage. Maybe his eventual getback with Neji and the fact that he still trained despite being injured just wanted so much for him. Especially since he was told he could probably never be a shinobi again yet he kept training and fighting for it got me in my feels fr

I agree with you the show could have been better if kishimoto has more time to focus remember he was working in the weekly manga and he barely sleep he had to work for 24 hours and he had to draw as well lee and neji were supposed to die in the sasuke rescue arc after what saw to kishimoto they should have died do you that kishimoto got to the hospital because of the weekly manga and some arc were rushed because of that like hidan arc that arc was supposed to be longer but the editor forced him to cut down because of time and did you read the one shot

Would’ve been epic if Rock Lee had at least been allowed to take down one of the Akatsuki Members. I mean, he was right there while Sasori and Deidara were walking around. Having him save Gaara after Gaara saved him from Kimimaro would’ve been so poetic.

I DETEST how much talking anime characters do in fights, especially Naruto. I was going on and out of the fight because I could care less about the damn dialogue and flashbacks I just wanted to see Lee throwing hands. All that information could’ve been told to us at a later time, literally, it would’ve made more sense to have that exposition after Lee gets injured.

Lee earned my respect when I saw him in his stance standing on a broken leg while fully unconscious. That level of determination can't not be admired, and it wasn't even a conscious choice for him it's just who he is.

hmmmm back then yes Neji would've lost to lee but when he grew up he was a calm beast, sadly he didn't learn the gentle step twin lion the purple one Neji would've won easily, because Hinata is weak even with that gentle step twin lion purple she looked weak, in my opnion Neji was the best Byakogan user ever if ppl consider Madara as the best Sharingan user ever Neiji was his opposite with byakugan but he didn't get that much time, bottom line in that fight Lee would've died if Guy didn't save him because he was still young he almost died using the 3rd gate back then and his body was shattered it would've been better if Naruto got into his first tail mode against Gara and Lee would've looked good winning over Neji but man Gara is a beast he's the strongest of the sand village

Boruto is not cannon its a monthly manga the had more time to focus and draw unlike kishimoto who had to draw for 24 hours in order to deliver and he got to the hospital because of the weekly manga do you know that kishimoto dad passed away during the war arc and he missed his father ferinal and his honeymoon because how busy he was with Naruto and he gives us amazing art and story its not perfect but still great while boruto is a monthly manga and the art is trash and the story is trash and did you read the one shot it was very good and way better than anything comes form boruto

It's funny to me how EVERYONE big ups this fight and Rock Lee doing what he did against Gaara, but then casually forget how this fight ended. Gaara stopped playing with his food, broke Lee's arm and legs and likely would have killed him had Guy Sensei not stepped in.
