I try very hard to be painfully nice and I feel guilty about the sarcasm so I keep it in check until I am in private. I do my best to even hide my sarcasm online until I am around people who I feel comfortable with.

Again, just to set things clear: INTJs are not totally cold, emotionless robots who can't feel and understand complex emotions or feel empathy for others. It's just that we're not led forward in our decision making, virtues and morals shaping, and ideologies by feelings. We view emotions as the spice of life, not our guiding blueprint.

I am absolutely led by my feelings, but not only me feelings, I analyse my feelings to establish why I "feel" this way. It's when I don't incorporate my "feelings" and only use my head, is when I am wrong. I "feel" we are more a "package" of a person rather than something superficial. We can literally and figuratively read 7 books at the same time and still understand each.

“Spice of life”. Emotions is a biological phenomenon. It’s reaction of person to something (trigger). Emotions do obey certain principles and laws. It’s a logical indicator that isn’t really well studied and is not as easy to study by yourself because of multitude of possibilities. Some people are a little more suited to read them on intuitive level. Males and especially intj and some other types are coming from different level of mind (similar to sensory and logicality vs emotional intuition)

Exactly! We aren't emotionless. We use emotions like any other organizing principle. But we aren't lead by our emotions, don't need our egos stroked, and don't feel the need to stroke others egos. And honestly, that's why other types don't like us.

As an INTJ, I have to say that it’s not that we have problems in the relationship department. We simply want to avoid unintelligent people. That unfortunately is the majority of the population. 🤭

Networking is very important. I'm an INTJ also, although I realized the importance of having social skills and knowing people from all parts of life. Think about it, as arrogance and lower social skills comes easy to an intj, it would be really bad when you have a good opportunity in life, but since you have no people skills and are frankly unable to make connections, the people behind the opportunity see that and no longer want you. As an INTJ, I fully believe that people just make the wrong decisions, get too caught up in the moment, and that anybody could be successful if their mind was fixated on it.

Now I can see what others see about me, and get a new vantage point on how I am interacting. INFJ, long winded when I write. It's my second language. My first is singing the songs that express what I am too bottled up to express in my own words. So gonna cut it short now, cause I am working on the flaws.

Since effectiveness is so important to INTJs, it serves us to learn to be more "friendly and approachable" in our interactions with others (i.e. to act more human). Developing your toolbox of interpersonal skills makes you more effective. I'm not recommending being fake, just understanding more about how others think so you can relate more efficiently. Consider it a social experiment, if that helps.

I tested as an INTJ, and my wife and I are having a rough time now. She's an INFP, and while we can both connect as goofy introverts, some of the deeper emotional issues have been tough for me to keep up with. I've struggled with trying to come up with a thought out, considered response to things when maybe I should have been more direct with how I'm feeling, and conversely my reserved, metered approach to the world has led me to be less intimate than a partner might need to be. I don't know what I'm looking for in a RU-vid comment section; I think I'm just using it as anonymous therapy. Every video I've seen has been very negative about INTJ. Like, "hey, you suck at having human contact. But you also see the world as a problem you can never quite solve And you have a superiority/inferiority complex. Congrats!" Then again, Michelle Obama makes it work...

I find that you shouldn’t fully believe any personality type fully encompasses who you are, it should act like a baseline. I have pretty decent social skills, a good (albeit dark) sense of humour and can somewhat express my emotions in a conductive way. Was I born like this, definitely no, but I think the way we are raised has just as much importance as any personality type. Just like being extroverted or introverted, our personality is very flexible, and can change overtime

I agree that our personality is very flexible but I don't know if we can change our personality. Which is you can't change yourself to an extrovert if you're an introvert and vice versa. Don't get me wrong, as I said we're very flexible and we should always strive to move out of comfort zones to learn and be better, but those comfort zones are there for a reason.

It doesn't help INTJ's social life that they live in a society that seems to hate wisdom and knowledge. They're probably more INTJ's in the world but they know to fit in with the world at large they have to dumb down their intellect, imagination, and creativity. So true. I am in high school and it frustrates me because school systems teach nothing of actual value. My mind goes way beyond what we are taught, and it’s making my entire generation dumb. I hate having to dumb myself down until I am able to become an adult who can actual use my intellect and stop being told what to do. To be honest, I would never show my imagination to anyone, maybe I just don’t trust anybody.

I'm an INTJ and I am very empathetic. It's exhausting, half of the time I see people as the most basic unintelligent animals and the other half I feel for everyone and listen to everyone's problems trying to help them. I'd say I have good social skills and always made friends easily but after some time I get bored and find huge flaws in everyone, including my partners. That makes it difficult to have long, stable relationships. I always wondered why I was committed to my work and plans for years and years, yet couldn't make a relationship last. I didn't know why I was like this until I took the test and learned about this personality type. I guess it makes it a little easier knowing what I am, just like when someone gets diagnosed as bipolar, borderline or whatever. You finally have a name for it and somehow it makes it more acceptable.

As a female INTJ, I recommend people like me to do some emotional work, see a therapist or do some psychedelics, creative expression or even become a parent. Think of anything that will make you grow emotionally and do it. Set out to be "the best" at whatever you do for yourself emotionally and your relationships will grow. You can not strengthen your emotional weaknesses on your own. Life = relationships. My relationships are pristine. They are priceless and I love them. And no there are no issues in the romance department. I am a homemaker and a freelancer, mother to one daughter. Let me know what your weaknesses as an INTJ are. Mine are still in the relationship/emotion department. Because no, you are not above everyone else. Emotional well being is just as important as the logical intellect, and arrogance is disgusting no matter how good you are.

This comment is the only reasonable one I’ve seen, most people here just want to pick INTJ because they think it makes them cooler or special, a true INTJ would know that everything comes with a price with that said I agree a majority of INTJs lack in the emotional department, but really one of my weaknesses is my lack of respect for authority, lack of patience, for example dealing with customer service is something I genuinely dread and avoid at all costs, sometimes even costing myself money, the inconvenience I have to go through is just too much. Also I find myself questioning everything you can think of, doctors, bankers, house agents, family, friends and even myself. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and there's always room for improvement, I've learned to project empathy and compassion and stifle my bluntness seeing as it usually helps nobody. Bless my husband for dealing with me through my depression when my intj is at its worse.

My siblings called me a bookworm all the time growing up! When they were out climbing trees, playing football/baseball and riding bikes, I was inside reading, writing, and ruminating. I would read the dictionary just for fun. I would carry a stack of books home from the library every week in the summers. I was valedictorian of my high school class and have an engineering/science educational and professional background. Half the time I test as INTJ per Myers Briggs. The other half of the time the results come out as INFJ. I believe I am really an INTJ, just with a much higher than typical F capability (which may have come out of being female and having a large family). I would volunteer to do speaking engagements and function as mistress of ceremonies at school events. I wind up being a counselor and a place of refuge for people who have problems. I think that may be more of an INFJ's way of doing things than INTJ. Either way, I think it helped to round me out (humanize me). Overall, I am satisfied with who I am and accept the way I operate.

Hi! Fellow INTJ female here. I would just like to say that I can almost completely relate to what you said. I am perceived as a bookworm by my siblings. My mother often calls me out for staying inside my room the entire day. I have my thick dictionary with me as well, which I had since 4th grade. Unfortunately, we don't have an accessible library here so I make sure to save money for my books. Just this year, I graduated valedictorian from my high school as well. About the INTJ/INFJ battle, I have been there too. I tested INFJ twice and INTJ for more than five times. For that reason, I believe I am more of an INTJ as well. I agree with your point of the feeler side coming out due to being female and having a large family. That's value added. I delivered lots of speeches too in ceremonies and school events as well. I'm going to college soon and currently planning on studying Economics. I'm really glad to have stumbled upon your comment. I didn't know someone out there lived almost the same life as I do. Dalir Kosimov lol. You forget that the brain has a tendency to follow a routine. Meyer Briggs is an attempt to categorize the routines your brain uses the most in determining your personality. Not saying you don't change but it's generally seen as your default state of mind.

Before taking the test, I worked in a hospital setting. I was so stressed and anxious all the time I thought something was terribly wrong with me. After Finding out that I'm just an INTJ with low self esteem it was a huge relief. Now I'm taking the steps necessary to change life for the better. They have many personality traits that people usually associate with masculinity. Sadly, people can make your life a living hell when you don't fit in with their expectations. Most people don't like to be proven wrong or to be made uncomfortable. Female intjs can do this by just existing. So, when female intjs talk about their experiences online, they might mention their rarity sure, but they are also likely to mention their experiences due to being so different than what people expect them to be.

When I was a child I would read encyclopedias for hours and hours. Those eyewitness books I really loved. Always felt like an outcast though, I was quiet sometimes I would eat alone. Even then I would win awards as a child, won an award for best young author and got to meet the city mayor. Now that I’m older I appreciate me how I am. I may not have a million friends but all I need is the million facts in my head and it will take me anywhere in life

Often the referee in arguments, but have been told I can be arrogant, smug and cold. Love/hate relationship with this personality type. Ive been an INTJ-T all my life. I was addicted to the internal workings (both hardware and software) of computers before I even learned how to talk. Now at age 20, im excelling in College and secured multiple paid internships, my most recent one being a paid software engineering internship at an undisclosed banking firm and find it very easy to secure work temporarily in extremely competitive locations of my city between each college year to make some extra cash. Ive set out my future and im putting all I got to making it a reality. See you all in a few years when I graduate I might see this comment someday and give an update.

INTJ here(currently) that used to be an INFJ(4years ago) and want to share my results that I found after experimenting and observing everything in deep solitude and it's crazy where my INTJ mind is noticing PATTERNS... It sucks to be an INFJ seriously when you are just constantly feeling so much empathy for people and pick up on their emotions... Then I entered the business world and it woke my eyes to how ruthlessly mean things I saw people doing just to get money... I went into total isolation and solitude and stop giving af about other people existence, that's when I got an INTJ and I was fully charged up with my long range vision that I built in isolation(typical INTJ)... Days ago, I got so so so much frustrated about the future to the point I was torn apart from within that why I'm not achieving things and taking actions towards the things I can see clearly in my mind, it lead me to making even more sacrifices (typical INTJ thing)... I made up my mind that I will not think about the future and not give af at all, just living fully in the present and will take massive action towards things that has already masterminded by my INTJ mind and just really build systems, that's when I got an ISTJ... And when I combine traits like not giving af bout people, INTJ mastermind, talking freely with people and engaging back in the sensory world to the point I am cool with people, I got an ENTJ... IDK, it's like I can switch between personalities according to the situation at hand anytime I want. It's crazy where my INTJ mind is noticing patterns in solitude like I can become: ISTJ(action taker and good in maintaining current systems). INTJ (Masterminding long range future with full accuracy) ENTJ(Dealing with people and carrying a not give af attitude) INFJ (It's sucks to be this as I have experienced, like I was so afraid of everything... Sorry if you're an INFJ reading this, but it's sucks to be this type) I have the traits of powerful INTJ, ENTJ, and ISTJ and it's like I can bring forward those traits in isolation and act like them whenever I want in the sensory world and become them as I have experienced how it feels like to be these personalities...it's crazy man, it's CRAZY...

I am an Intj according to a personality test I took. But I feel like I fall somewhere between an Infj and an Intj. I'm not arrogant or overly blunt. As far as friends go, I'm not much into friends or a people person. I do have a wonderful marriage and get along with my husband very well. The smallest things can get on my nerves. I pick up on body language very well and also other people's moods and patterns. I hate when other people try to give me their opinion on my life, and I HATE criticism because I was criticized so much growing up. One minute I hate the world and the next I'm wanting to help people. It can be maddening sometimes.

It is incredibly difficult being a female INTJ in a male dominated tech/hardware career. Most of my fellow co-workers (mostly males) dislike the fact that I have learned the job so quickly without any background and have advanced further than them. I’ve never been so disliked for my competence and effectiveness before. I try to help them learn and get better, but most of them hate me for it. I’m known throughout my company (which extends across the world) as the “vocal female TR tech”-And, that’s putting that into nice terms. I see many comments saying it is lonely being this personality type. I would agree. People always seem to see me as a threat and a bitch-and never take the time to actually get to know me.

Guys were always intimidated by me as well. Even in college, they were very nervous around me and few ventured a try. But, I did find the most amazing man in my mid 20’s. He’s a thinker also-very much on my intellectual level. He’s gorgeous and funny-very sweet- and the best part was that he was very certain that I was amazing. He actively pursued me and won. It was amazing. Now I’m much happier than any of my friends who had fake guys swooning all over them in high school. Choose wisely. You’re a rare person who deserves an exact fit.

I am an INTJ-A, but surprisingly I have a pretty good sense of humour. I believe just like nothing is absolute, personally types are no exception to the rule.

Honestly, he pretty much summarized exactly what is said on the INTJ profile from 16 personalities. Wasn't insightful and didn't bring any new perspectives. At times it was almost verbatim.
