Anyone who got Celestial Bodies, it has been updated to Titan edition which basically make it twice as thick now with more enemy faction and home ship mechanic, so check it out again!
We all know the classic armored core games like last raven that you can shoot missiles out the air the mechanic and the shotgun is clearly inspired by that
Nice and streamlined, and I agree on your assessment of Battletech combat. However my complexity addiction goes brrrrrrrr whenever I see a sourcebook with an entire appendix filled with tables.
The answer is simply more dice. People who play BT a lot often get a jewelry box (y'know the knes with a bunch of little cells?) and stick a pair of D6s in each of them. Shake well.
HELL Yeah! Game mechanics are really cool, agree with Dkid's assessment. Love these stripped down mech games, BattleTech's complexity fills me with dread sometimes
Ever since I saw your vids on battlegroup you are gettting my sincere fkin grattitude for showing off clips from Knights of Sidonia jeezus christ as much as known this manga and anime is- it's still a lesser talked about series: Which fkin sucks- what not to like, there are mechs, giant ship with mega railgun, stakes, monsters, monster waifu Plus well- something I didn't fkin mention, Celestial Bodies basically begs for someone to run a Knights of Sidonia session.
From a game called Pseudoregalia, which is a Metrovania style 3D platformer. Somehow, I felt like the musics from there work in this video, probably from the rather ethereal vibe.
