Hello, I'm dragonkid11 and welcome to my channel where I talk stuff about the various indie tabletop RPGs or TTRPGs out in the world right now!
Most notably, Lancer, a mecha TTRPG with fluid action and fast paced gameplay, Flying Circus, a PBTA TTRPG set in the early days of air combat, Gubat Banwa, a martial arts tactics and war drama TTRPG, and many many more.
If you would like to support this channel, I currently have a Patreon and Kofi account which you donate to, and I will be deeply thankful for that, or you could just support me by continuing to watch my videos!
Either way, I hope you enjoy the videos my channel provides.
This game looks pretty fast in these videos, but how fast does it actually play out? I'm hoping to get some friends into it, and a short match time would be perfect for my group.
I was a little put off by the TTS voice at first, but once the meme edits kicked in I realized it's a perfect stylistic choice. Gonna be binging these all day 👌
It still astonishes me that a game that was originally about planes seems to do tanks so well. Thank you for covering this and for all the hard work you do in general.
Mexican Space Wizards They're my favorite faction almost by default. Also a great name for a band! Edit: 'Los Voladores' is Spanish for 'The Flyers' or 'The Flying Ones'
The kit for the Hunter was insane and also you can modify the thing with *all the bitz*. I loved Heavy Gear as a wargame because I got to dig out my bitz box of guns and use all those random bolt rifles and sniper rifles i never used in 40k
I unironically had began to research if a nhp would be able to acess or interact with witness... And then it hit me that i wont get any answer because SecComm fucking killed all egregorians...
Question: I’m not sure it’s the right time to pick up a new ruleset, but I think I’m going to start getting heavy gear models as proxies for alpha strike games. Is the cheetah or ferret model about the same size a medium mech model? I want a medium EW mech and the only good option comes in a pack I don’t have much use for, so I figured that might be a good first or second purchase.
I have absolutely no idea as I do not own a heavy gear mini (or any mini actually), but the Heavy Gear Blitz book (which is free) did talk about the base size, so there's that.
I have a bunch of HG and BT minis. Just did a little comparison, and a when it comes to height, regular Hunter's head ends exactly where a Shadowhawk's head starts.
You can play an entire campaign using only Hunters (and honestly, you probably should). There are just that many variants of Hunters. The Hunter Zerstorer is just a beast both in 4th and in Blitz!, you have a gun for every job and every range. The Mountain Hunter is another standout. With a MCW, MRP and LFM, it has a lot of ways to kill enemies that don't involve its LAC, and its climbing gear lets it go places most gears can't. Good for a party doing long range recon in rough terrain. The Bobcat, well, it's there to do Target Designation and that's about it. Tigers are amazing - just upgrading to MRP standard from the Hunter's LRP is a big deal, but getting a MAC and +1 GU and +1 PI on top of that is just so good. Cheetahs look good until you look at the White Cat variant and wonder why you'd take a basic Cheetah, ever. The Spearhead is very much a legacy gear that was unique in earlier versions of Heavy Gear because it augmented the Leadership skill. It's lost its unique talents in 4e, but it's a Hunter with a HAC, so don't underestimate its firepower.
@@Metoollhead I seen it awhile back but wasn't sure how well it scaled to Heavy Gear but Lancer mechs are closer in size than i thought after checking the sizes in the vehicle list on both
I'm looking to run a game of this now thanks to you introducing it, currently trying to get my Foundry VTT set up for it. It's gonna be lots of fun, ty for making videos about it 👍
