There are so many people out there purporting to be experts on this subject. None of them appear to me to know what they're taling about, but you do.but you've nailed it! Thank you so much for your
The way you're actively applying the elements to this audio track as you're talking about them (pan, eq, etc) is amazing. Please continue to do this whenever it makes sense to do so, because getting the information and a demonstration/example simultaneously like exponentially enhances the learning process. I haven't watched the videos in this series yet, but it seems like you're striking a great balance between covering general principles, detailed information where you've noticed common misunderstandings or misconceptions, and studio-one specific guidance. I'm not new to music production or DAWs or anything like that, but I am new to Studio One, and I am new to trying to actually mix properly rather than just doing it aimlessly - so this series looks like it will be exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks so much
dude, you rule, joe! I really appreciate what you've done for me. You make it fun and simple. I absolutely love studio one as well. I've watched every one of your presonus vids that are pertinent to my weaknesses and they've transformed me from one of the least organized engineers on the planet to having a pretty smooth workflow. Keep 'em coming. I Hope presonus pays you well, because you are a great asset.
Hey Joe. Thanks for the video instruction and tips with regard to music production using PreSonus Studio One Artist 6. Looking forward to it! This is quite the journey. :)
This actually made me take a breather and step back from my method of zooming in too far into my tracks too soon. Definitely going to be going back to this video a bunch as I go through the process of producing my first song 😅
Thanks Joe, I'm new to PreSonus and this was really helpful. I suppose it's a bit like starting with the foundations and getting them right before building the floor, walls and roof.
In my layers drop down, it doesn't show COMP as a choice..is this just your custom name, or do I need to add a feature? My version is 5.1 professional. Thanks!
Can you do a video of you mixing a song that has a lead vocal with different variations of volume and show how you get it to sound consistent with the same volume
Get rid of the cat! You'll get hair everywhere! I have two Labs and there not allowed in the studio (got a baby gate) but somehow I still get there hair in my studio...
