I bought it, I'm delighted. I'm having a great time and I absolutely recommend it to every arranger enthusiast. I didn't want to create styles myself or improve Yamaha's ready-made styles. I really like what dynamix audio has prepared. I see huge potential for the future. I don't know if it's just me getting used to the program, but it seems that the styles play better with each update. Thank you very much to the creators of giglad for a job well done.
Thanks. Yes, every small update improves in functionality and usability, but as you mentioned this is just the beginning. Stay tuned, many great things will come in the future.
I downloaded a copy tonight for mac and i am really impressed. I did not expect this sound quality. I have been using keyboards since the 90's and this works so intuitively for me that i am really considering purchasing a license. Thanks for developing this..... Only disadvantage i see is when in the future you would need a newer laptop to support the latest and greatest....
Fi-na-lly! I've searched for this for years. Hardware arrangers, even the newest around (yes, I'm looking at you Genos 2!) are years behind the innovation that DAW's and VST's already provide. Arrangers in "stuck" in sounding like an arranger and offer little flexibility with (if any) proprietary software. I have even thought of programming something likes this myself. Don't get me wrong, I started out on arrangers (and even those "flagship" models) but left this behind years ago as I felt this market was kind of dead. Looking forward to try this.
Yamaha is really great, it is a big company, and their keyboards are magnificent. But not perfect and lacking some advanced options that professionals need. We hope that we can close that gap with Giglad, as we have a clear idea on how a modern arranger should work and feel. With the help from our users I hope we can soon get there.
hello! it sounds great, but what about audio? Loops of drums and guitars, also in portamento, are there any modes, can minor and major thirds be programmed in all keys
Yes, there are two videos in making at the moment, one with the sound library explained in depth, and other with a tutorial on how to re-voice the styles with Giglad's sound library. If everything goes to plan it will be ready in the next two weeks.
I just installed the latest version of Giglad. I use the ASIO driver (Scarlett 4i4 4th) and the recommended settings (48000 Hz, 512 samples, CPU/audio engine occupancy does not exceed 50%). Everything works fine at the start... But after a certain time (after cca. 20 changes of sounds/styles) it starts to audio "crackle" during playback/playing (with or without playing style). Is this "deliberately" done in the trial version or is it a problem somewhere else? I send questin about week ago to Deltarray team but they don't send any response to me yet...
These are not recommended settings. Also it should not happen. Please send us an email again, Deltarray or Dynamix Audio. I will check why no one answered your previous email.
I'd like to use Giglad with my Yamaha Montage7 as a master keyboard. I've seen in this clip that Giglad can be used through Elgato Stream Deck. Is this correct? What's the way for connecting Stream Deck to Giglad directly? Are there some shortkeys that I can use for example to start/stop accompainment or fill in or ending? I've to decide if could be better than a tablet used like a touch screen. Thanks in advance for your answer.
Stream Deck can control Giglad the same way it controls other software, there is no special connection between the two, just program every button as you would usually.
I actually just bought a stage keyboard CK88 which is too good for me as pianist & don't have true fulltime partners yet to gig in line with my solo practice everyday. I hope this is an answer to me without buying another keyboard again. I'm looking forward to able to map all the control layouts in Giglad to all physical buttons & faders on the panel control on CK88 as it all can send midi separately. I think it's adequate to turn it as an arranger keyboard 😂
This is actually the point, choose your keys and never pay for the recycled arranger again. Not sure if you can use the physical buttons from your CK88 as many of those are not actually midi buttons so they do not send midi messages. There are multiple ways to use it, the pc keyboard, or some of the really affordable large touch screens, also some midi controllers with buttons and knobs.
@@DynamixAudio Hvala puno. Sve navedeno vec imam. Sad sam tek vidio da je dozvoljen ponovni trial, jer sam vec koristio tu opciju. Nema razloga da ne vjerujem profesionalcu. Small step for me, big step for community. Thanks DynamicsAudio!
Tried the trial version for the first time yesterday (you *really* need to write in the documentation where it installs itself to, I had to search for an eternity), it does indeed do a lot of things I paid 4 grand for with my Tyros 5. :D And I like that I can use my full VST collection. Definitely gonna buy a license after the trial is over.
It is the name of the company, the website is called the same name, I would say it is almost the norm with software, especially with companies that have plans to release multiple products, this way all the products are in the same folder. It should also appear in the start menu, however with Windows design being worse with every new version I understand that being somewhat a problem. Does it offer to create a desktop shortcut on installation?
Glad to see that the latest version supports native M1 and your own VSTs. Just wanted to confirm though: Giglad can be configured to send MIDI out and thus control the internal sounds that reside in one's hardware keyboard - e.g. a Yamaha or Korg workstation?
Dear Sirs, I have a Korg Pa4x and a Yamaha Genos which has a good sequencer and so I always use it with the function the CHORD BACKING SEQUENCE because I studied music play Guitar and Bass but I am not a good pianist. I would like to know: Can I connect the Korg Pa4x to Giglad? Can I download a complete style on Giglad from Korg Pa4x? Can I use Giglad to write the chords measure by measure of a chosen song on the downloaded style including Intro Ending variation etc. to make a complete orchestral arrangement ? Just like I do with Genos. When The arrangement is complete can I convert the Midi files into Wav or Mp3 files? If so I will buy at once the Giglad. Thanks to all the people who will help me.
Pa4X can be connected to Giglad, but only as a master keyboard, Giglad does not talk to Korg's or Yamaha's arranger section. Giglad does not read nor play Korg styles, but you could convert the style yourself if you are familiar with DAW, midi file management, midi markers, and other midi editing. As for the creating the song in Giglad, you can do it easily with the implemented feature called SONG. There you can choose your style, then simply tell the arranger how many bars to play which chord and which section, so the end result is the complete song played automatically by Giglad, which is even better than how it works on Yamaha where you need to play it manually. This song can be later saved as an audio file so you can continue to work with it the way you want.
🙂 hvala unapred
Hi, Why don’t you create a video that explains and elaborates on Giglad from the beginning? For example, you could cover installing the software, connecting a MIDI keyboard/controller, assigning faders and knobs, loading the required instruments, assigning instruments to tracks, and arranging and playing. I strongly believe such a video would help everyone gain knowledge and encourage them to purchase the software.
I'm trialing this wonderful program but cannot for the life of me work out how to export my arranged song into .Mid file like I can with every other physical arranger. I want to open it in my DAW and record vocals and other physical instruments. He says in the video there's no need to go from the arranger into the DAW to edit and then go back because the program hosts VSTs but I see a massive need here. There's a bazillion musicians who use arrangers to create prototype MIDI arrangements for importation to DAW for use in real songs. Arrangers are not just for live but it seems Giglad is only for live use at present.
Giglad's styles are actually standard midi files. If you want to record your performance there is a RECORD button which can record either audio from the master output, or record midi file which can be imported into any DAW. For what you need the audio file would be much more useful as it will bring all the instruments and effects as they are without need to do the re-voicing and mixing later. Multitrack audio recording will be added some time in the future.
Thanks that’s great news. I can’t see it anywhere and even in the documentation. When I record some action and variation changes with chords etc it just records as a .wav so where can I change this to midi? And I get your point but I’d like to revoice in a daw and finely edit the midi very precisely and then have the ability to swap sounds out right up til mixdown.
@@DynamixAudio Thanks that's great news but I can't for the life of me make it spit out anything other than a .wav file. Where is the option to make the recording a midi file? I can't see it in the documentation or anything.
Even Ketron is not able to play Ketron styles correctly. No, they do not support any of the existing formats and standards that other humans use on Earth. Giglad can use soundfonts, however there is absolutely zero need for this as it has an advanced sound library already included, there is no soundfont that can approach even close as the format is not powerful enough. The only reason I could think of is if your computer is too old and slow so it can not handle a good quality sampled resoruces.
can this arranger edit/convert easier mp3/midi into styles like the KORG PAx5? the ultimate hardware arranger killer is the discontinuing of the style librarys. third party styles are lack of quality and actuality or expensive per style. fresh style librarys editing/converting only available with expensive gear ond notations.
No shortcuts in this universe. This is done by humans, only. Giglad has a great sounding sound library, simply use the styles you have, re-voice them and enjoy.
I have this software and i think its amazing but time consuming to setup all over again,i think i am over it setting up arranger keyboards,it never ends
With previous versions the user needed to start from scratch as it was just a platform. This is now V4, a completely redesigned interface, it comes with a complete sound library that sounds magnificent out of the box, and with many, many improvements. With that being said, there is no arranger on the planet that comes set up and ready for gigging, you always need to do something. Although you still have the option to use the virtual instruments in Giglad V4, there is no need as it is time consuming and the end results are still not as good as this sound library which is made to blend with itself, already mixed and produced for the user, just like any other keyboard.
Actually no need for Kontakt. I understand that this is the first thing that comes to our mind, however an arranger needs to be fast and stable while Kontakt uses a lot of CPU, libraries are 10+gb each, a lot of memory use, and not optimised for this usage case, more for the studio use. Also, Kontakt libraries and other VST instruments are mostly RAW and unprocessed as they are created to be used in recording studios further mixed and processed by engineers, but an arranger needs a simple but good sounding instruments easily reachable with just one click, and this is exactly why we created the sound library for Giglad. It blends great with itself, it does not need mixing and processing, and it sounds better than most virtual instruments out of the box. The key for a great arranger is the correct mixture of simplicity and power.
Saludos Cordiales!
It is an arranger, exactly the same as any other arranger, which is also a software. It uses the same piece of code, the same rules, the same logic. No magic needed.
An Arranger have limitations. A piece of software doesn’t have. An arranger runs on low speed old CPU and a Linux based OS. A software can run on a CPU and RAM you want to. A arranger doesn’t have VST and AU Support. A software have it. So sit down and read something about this don’t just comment by just seeing the interface 🙄
