The moment you’ve all been waiting for!! I’ve gotten lots of comments asking when will Violet finally meet the flock? Today is the day!! If you didn’t know Violet’s story, she was taken in by Marlene Mc’Cohen for a few months after she was found lost outside. So for all we know she’s never seen another budgie before!!

So sweet of you to give us an update on Violet, it's very clear she is happy and well prepared for her next chapter. Really amazed how much Bluebell looks so much like her. Watch out for Kermit, I had a greencheek, and there were certain postures I noticed, (kind of like a bully) but I'm sure you are aware of how to handle him. Great video and Thank you.

Conures are such bullies. My son’s conure used to bully my African grey. So lovely the budgies have each other 🥰

@Fancy Feathers same with my conure! he loves to poke his little head in the sink while the waters running! He doesn't even need a cage! He does have one tho! We set up obstacle coarses around the house and he constantly does those instead of sleep in his cage

My conure likes to bully my dog which isn’t good yet because he’s new and I’ve only had him for a week or so and my dog still thinks he’s a chew toy but we a keeping them out of reach of each other and their doing better with each mother

Hi Kayla! Congrats on your new sweetie! I have a fierce little mischievous Conure, too 💚 The only way to keep your brave little Conure safe is to have your dog safely NOT in the same room. Things can develop too fast for you to intervene and save your Conure in time otherwise. Just takes one weird combination of factors for things to go tragically wrong. Personally know of dogs killing Birds in people's homes who had Birds for decades and considered themselves experts and thought that their dog and Bird were friends. I wish you and your feather and fur loved ones safety and great happiness together! 💚🐦💚

Grou Crow Thanks for the reply, I’ll keep them separated because I only want the best for both animals. Just one question, I have two other dogs that don’t show any interest in him whatsoever, so can they be in the same room? I wouldn’t let them touch each other or be at the same level as each other. This is my first bird so I don’t want to make any mistakes.

My Fischer lovebird always bullies all my budgies but when it's near a yellow budgie she opens her wings like a dance off I dont know why😂

aww, Violet looks like she's adjusting really well. Ducky seems uncertain but curious... Kermit is a food-bully, apparently... but the budgies seem to have (mostly) taken really well to another budgie! ... as long as she doesn't get TOO up in Bluebell's face anyway xD

@@aarongonzalez4458 i'm not really a budgie expert, but i think they're basically the same bird? "english" budgies were just bred to be larger, for shows. you'll want to double check that, though. there's no immediate reason they couldn't be friends, aside from possibly individual bird personalities. i mean, in the right environment almost any 2 birds could be friendly with each other, from macaws all the way down to parrotlets. that said... there's probably enough professional budgie breeders out there already.

Good job on this! That’s a hard thing for most owners. I keep my flock separated (but also the size difference makes me cringe at them being near ea other). Violet & Pearl gonna be besties! ❤️ Awe.

I'm sorry I didn't comment sooner, Marlene showed me last week!!! SO CUTE UGH MY HEARRTTTTT!!! Violet is tiny but mighty for sure, rarely one to run off - I remember how she'd run towards Blue and iluka whenever they came close. What a tough cookie, easily one of the smartest budgies I've ever met - and above all else she looks SO HAPPY!! I heard Finchy sounds around 7:15 - this whole video was EVERYTHING I needed!!

She seems so happy to have a flock. I had a budgie just like that when I was a kid. Unfortunately we didn't know enough about Budgies, and his cage was too small. :( I plan to adopt in the future, I'll be much more equipped to give the bird everything they deserve.

Willemijn M try to put some seeds or millet on your hand and keep your hand still by doing that they will be calm and they will come down to eat on your hand and do this everyday so they get used to it

You are so lucky that all your birds get along so well. I love budgies. That is how I started out in the bird world. I now have a Sun Conure & a Cockatiel. They are love of my life. Good luck with your new bird. Adorable.

I've had a cockatiel for about 6 years now and I still don't know alot about birds You should do one on bathing your bird! My birds name is Jewel And I had 2 other birds (also cockatiels) but they died about 2 years ago (named crickets and Joe) and we buried them outside my bedroom window

Kermit....my conure Warbeak in a nutshell lol. Always bullies the smaller birds, to steal their food/treats/toys. The “oh you have that? I want it because you have it” mentality. Always chasing them off spots they enjoy too. “Oh I want to be over there because you’re over there”. Then struts her stuff. Thought it was just a her thing. Guess it’s an all conure thing.
