Yeah, there's some bird content on there that makes me cringe, but there are a lot of great accounts with good bird care and adorable birdies. I follow the skateboarding parrotlet, Wolfie, that's far from his only trick, and they just got a baby to be his friend

I always thought I was wrong freaking out every time my cat goes to my birds cause my family tells me when I scare my cat away from my birds, they'll tell me "he just wants to be friends with them, he doesn't care" Now I know I was in the right the entire time and now I will avoid my cat and birds getting close together, thank you for pointing it out

I just rescued a lutino cockatiel from and abusive aviary, there was this old man who clearly did not care about the birds at all. He had stuffed a tiny backyard aviary with breeding boxes and then left the birds there to breed so that he could make money. They had no water bowls at all and there was only one other perch other that the ones on the breeding box. In total there were 11 cockatiels one of which was a baby, there was this amazing woman who found them by accident and bought all of them to home until they were sold. She created an amazing an enriching environment for them and then help nurse them back to health while she was selling them. Sadly when she went to pick up the baby it was dead and the youngest, a lutino, had had her head feathers plucked bare and one of her wings was bleeding, this was chickpea the cockatiel I rescued. I've had a budgie for 3 years and wanted to get her a friend and I felt I couldn't just leave chickpea there because she was being rejected by a bunch of other people because of her feather loss. Brought her home and she is so sweet, sadly she is scared of large spaces so even though we bought her a flight cage she prefers to sleep in the smaller travel cage that we brought her home in. her wings were clipped really far up and they were done with those crinkle craft scissors so she is very off balanced but she is happy and healthy and recovering quickly, she loves training and is so curious, and she my little miracle

Nice to see some positive content mixed in with the bad! There are some awful accounts out there showing some very bad treatment of birds! But also some great ones! :D

We have cats, dogs, birds, and a rabbit. We would never let the cats in the same room as the birds or the dog in the same room as the rabbit, This is so sad

So i just found out that my neighbors have two budgies (i have one). Super gorgeous, one is all blue and the other is white with blue patches. They leave the birds on the balcony so i saw their cage and y'all... Feather fam..... Small, round top table top cage, all dowel perches, and nothing but one rope ladder and a hollowed out coconut "nest" hung up inside. No toys or nada. I just kinda wanted to cry? I feel like i should send them an Elle's avian essential box and a new cage 😑😢

If you know cat body language, you can tell the cat's tail is flicking from side to side, they do that when they're about to hunt a prey, attack, or mad. So that cat is showing a huge sign that she/he is ready to attack or possibly hurt the bird because of the tail flicking from side to side. Just people, if you have a prey species of animals, DO NOT let them come in contact with a predator species of animals! It's not cute, it's dangerous.

Another issue with the family buying the bird is that you should get the cage and everything before and set everything up in advance to minimize stress for the bird. The less time in the box the better. Also please get at least 2 budgies!

I don't know how people don't understand how important cage enrichment is, and especially since parrots are very intelligent and need something to do. also if the bird is asking to came out and there not able to fly then that is no good reason not to let them come out. one more thing, can we take a second to appreciate Elle's eye liner, it's beautiful.

Hello again Ella.. the last video I sent you a posted a comment about for green budgies they were all in a small tiny cage and I just got them today and they are all happy and on Sunday there are new bird toys coming their last small cage have no toys at all I put them in a large cage and they are all happy together they are not used to me yet the on Sunday is there is millet coming and they are singing..😇😭😊💚💚💚💚💛💛 don't worry I won't leave the Millet in the cage have a good day..😇 and shabbat shalom to u all...

I have 4 cats in my house. It was originally just two but when my grandpa passed we now have his cats as well. When I first got my green cheek, my best buddy was my black cat. He slept with me, like he was my companion out of the family animals. I got my own pet, being my green cheek. His cage is in my room since it's a family house, so they're around eachother alot, I would originally keep my cat away from him. But I then decided to atleast introduce them slowly since I would have my bird on my shoulder frequently. All the cats were declawed when we got them except one. I also introduced my green cheek to the dogs we have (they are small dogs) they are all afraid of him because he will lunge at them. I tend to still keep them spaced out, but I needed them to know of his presence, and that way if he got spooked and flew around, they knew not to mess with him and I would protect him. Only two of the cats aren't afraid of him as much (my grandpa's cats) and when he's on the counter eating a fruit I immediately walk over and my bird is immediately on the defensive and will run after their feet. He's a good boy 🤣☺️. Also speaking of feet, why do cockatiels seem to love feet and socks but conures hate them? Mine absolutely despises feet and will straight go on threat mode. I have not stepped on him, I have not kicked him. But ever since I got him he had already made up his mind that feet are the enemy.

And I want Elle to live in Australia too bc I do and I love all the birds here plus I could probally see her if she came!!,🤣😂🤣😂

10:50 i got my bird from a pet store, but it is not a chain pet store, and there are only arond 3 budgies per flight cage. They treat their animals extremely well and they even let them out when the store closes
