It's funny how everyone talks about Behringer products being crappy. The products themselves aren't crappy. I have a Behringer DI/Loadbox that does everything it's supposed to do, and it's built like a tank. It doesn't hurt that it only cost me $120CAD, yet I can run a 100 watt tube head's speaker output directly into it without worrying about it over-heating. It's their customer service that sucks. People who are equating their low price with low quality are missing the mark. Their prices are only low because they make literally every little thing that goes into their products in their own facilities.

The ratio of us raving vs complaining about Behringer is 100:1 so they wouldnt need a customer service dept would they
@MFKR696
@MFKR696 4 года назад
@@_User333 No offense, but that's faulty logic. There's no such thing as a corporation without a PR/Customer-Service department. That's not how this works. Also, statistically speaking, 100 people is far too small a sample size to extrapolate any meaningful data from, even if you were going about it scientifically, which you aren't. Just sayin...

Some Behringer products have been really crappy and cheap. They have done some awful guitar pedal clones. The all plastic HB01 Hellbabe Wah pedal is a great example but that doesn't mean I don't love some of their synths.

Idea for the new space Jack. Would be great to hear a synth in context with other musicians/a band occasionally 🤔

I bought this recently and have loved the noises it can make. Within two days I was recording it into Logic in a piece I was writing. Thats where I tripped up. I needed the Control Oscillator to be in time with the beat and it was nigh impossible to achieve this with the knob. Looking at the manual/website it says 'Comprehensive USB/MIDI implementation...' but it looks like the only thing controllable is the note on/off (haven't tried pitch bend or mod wheel yet). I would not say that's comprehensive. That's basic. Anyone know the details around the midi implementation? I cannot find a chart on the web.

Wicked stuff mate. I am considering buying this, but I want to use it in FL Studio and automate live. Will this be possible using the wasp? For example record a melody in, and then live record the automation through the track using the wasp.

It's strange... Anytime I hear a synth that sounds like that, I think of the Qatsi Trilogy (Naqoyqatsi, Powaqqatsi and Koyaanisqatsi). If you've never seen the Qatsi Trilogy, you're doing yourself a disservice by not watching it. At the very least, you'll get a kick out of their mostly synth-driven soundtracks.
@simonedmondson7633
@simonedmondson7633 4 года назад
Love these films. I think Koyaanisqatsi is orchestral not synth (not sure about the other two) and uses an organ. Forgive me if I'm wrong . The score is written by Philip Glass. I'm only really commenting because if it is orchestral as I always thought, it is phenomenal how it's performed. If it's not orchestral, then I learned something new.
@MFKR696
@MFKR696 4 года назад
@@simonedmondson7633 There are orchestral segments in all of them, in varying proportions, but there is a very strong synth backbone to most of of the music throughout the films, like with that signature wonky, almost iconic arpeggio sequence that shows up in different forms in all of the films. With Qatsi's score, I find the orchestral elements to be more of an embelleshment than anything else, since it was really hard to do convincing atmospheric stuff through synthesis back when those films were made. '80s synths had a real distinctive quirky, artificial sounding quality to them that didn't lend itself well to the type of atmosphere Glass was trying to get across. I honestly felt that the synth passages in those films were trying to create somewhat of an "everything's a joke" mood in between all the seriousness, or a sort of representative detachment from reality, which is something that Reggio also tried to relay with some of his visual compositions. They have a real Bipolar vibe to them, hence the juxtaposition between quirky synth arpeggios and moody orchestral swells. Most people would say those two things don't go together, but in this context, they mesh just as they should. Generally, IMO, the Qatsi Trilogy is the audio-visual equivalent of cognitive dissonance; a conflict between one's illusory perceptions of the world, which are always held onto with white knuckles, and the world that actually exists. In a "normal" person, the mind is aware of a disconnect from reality even if the person isn't, and maybe that's what Reggio and Glass were trying to portray.

Love the channel, man love Jack, but guys...ya don’t ship keyboards to customers in JUST the box they come in. I’ve had two Prologues returned for refund and the Poly D that just received had a massive tear hole in the carton above the keyboard...lucky not smashed. You sent an Odyssey and Arturia with outer boxes all perfect. Sort out policy (asked nicely before) losing trust in buying. Don’t make me goto Thomann/dv247, trying to support.

I can clearly see Jack is hooked on synthesizers nowadays. This is how the thing should sound. Why do I say that? I got mine a week ago. But mine doesn't make any sounds at all. Chinese manufacture. Before that I got two (2) VP-1 phasers. They both didn''t work. And yes, my headphones are fine, I used the right connection to the right 'hole'. No sound from the audio jacks at the rear end of the Wasp as well. Must be an issue with MIDI not receiving. I don't know. I am not responsible for the product. To me Uli clearly doesn't use Sig Sigma production in his factory. Behringer synths are cheap, but I heard of many, many issues. It's annoying.

What is wrong with the synth presentations ? If the videos were to believed, any synth would be a bass instrument. It would be sad news for any aspiring for the style of Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson or Kitaro.
