This isn't the first Jakapil joke I've seen, but it is one of the best ones so here's a cookie. 🍪

I picked Alan not meeting the Pyroraptor. Poor dude was only brought into this movie to be a joke and to get together with Ellie. Dinosaurs on the mainland should have been the main focus, but Alan vs the Pyroraptor should've also been in the movie.

I leaned towards Alan Grant not meeting the Pyroraptor. I felt that it would have helped streamline the film to just have some fully feathered Velociraptor clones, one of which Grant could meet, rather than introducing Atrociraptor and Pyroraptor as separate species. However, since the Pyroraptor is this film's sole representation of feathered dromaeosaurs, I consider it a missed opportunity to not have Grant specifically meet that. Regarding the Spinosaurus' absence in JWD, I felt that the Spinosaurus' appearance in Seasons 4+5 of Camp Cretaceous mostly made up for it. I would have been content with the dinosaur appearing in JWD's Cretaceous prologue and/or being what Alan Grant was digging up in his introduction, both of which could present a more updated "natural" portrayal. As for "not having dinosaurs around the world as the main plot", I felt that could have been more easily fixed, if Dodgson was also established to be driving the illegal worldwide sale of dinosaurs and that was treated as an equally harmful threat as the locusts. Likewise, the narrative could have treated the locusts merely as an additional threat wrecking havoc on the world's industries and ecosystems, rather than the sole main threat about to singlehandedly destroy civilization.

@@Bagelgeuse I think the same. Alan Grant should meet a pyroraptor. However, the pyroraptor itself should be reduced to a more important role than the 'irritating swimmer' from the lake. I might even pick it as the most disappointing raptor. However, Beta disappoints more. It's just a regular little copy of Blu. I was hoping that Blu would start a herd or find a mate, but it's better to take the easy way out and do parthenogenesis like a lizard.

I think having spino back wouldn't be as good as everybody thinks. It's role would probably be small and made only for nostalgia. Also as much as I love dinosaurs on the mainland, I have to say it would be hard to resolve a plot only around it, like I think in the future movies we can see more of this because of the black market scenes (you know illegal trafficing of wild animals may result in some chaos), but it would be pretty hard to finish jurassic world franchise with this kind of plot, but I hope that dominion is just an opening for more movies, which will be free from already established characters (it ended many main characters arcs), so in the future we'll see some new faces and maybe they'll return to characters for only one movie

I loved both equally, but I went with prehistoric planet as its a big budget documentary with accurate dinosaurs, so more people saw it

More power to you then. I personally didn’t find JWD to be a terrible film, unlike some other people’s opinions here. But I still thought it was just okay, with a lot of missed opportunities to be great.

Because it's got everything everyone totally wanted in a Jurassic World Movie. Robots and Romance. For real though, I have no idea how it ended up in best.

It had a few good things, spinosaurus, ceratosaurus, smilodon, but aside from a few awesome creatures, I cringed at a few moments.

Phosphatodraco is the best child killer. It's basically that creep that hangs around school, luring unsupervised kids into his van with candy. Except, without the candy, van, or luring. He just kills them. Then again, the Hatze did murder the most adorable child in Prehistoric Planet.

@@Bagelgeuse Honestly, I chose Hatze because of the design. That and the fact I really love Hatzegopteryx.

The Hatzegopteryx is definitely a highlight for me, both in general and in terms of Prehistoric Planet depictions. However, because the question was specifically framed as best child killer, I decided to go with Beelzebufo. That frog’s whole appearance in the show practically revolves around it coming out of nowhere, swallowing an infant, refusing to elaborate, then calmly leaving.
