Amazing Zoey. I just have a concern. Google tends to leave their projects high and dry after a certain period of time. Ask any developer and you will receive the same reply. The whole ecosystem and support is great. In fact genius. But if Google leaves flutter development in the future then we are all left hanging with bowls. We need assurance that Google will back us up and is in the game for a very long haul. Or this will end up as another pet project that will cost billions to our consumers.
@@syedquadri3922 Craig here from the Flutter team. I hear you on this. Sadly, no one can guarantee anything - but that's not unique to Google or Flutter. Even elsewhere in the gaming industry, we've seen big promises broken by major software players in just the last few months. What I can promise you is that Google heavily uses Flutter internally and every high quality app or game written in Flutter increases the project's stability. On your end, merely being active in the community and releasing software powered by Flutter means you're doing your part. Separately, I'd love to hear what kind of games or other projects you're building with Flutter!
Update: the flutter games website is updated now! Thanks everyone for your patience! Original comment: Sorry folks, the current flutter games page is going through some updates. Please check that website in an hour or so! Meanwhile, you can head to flutter's docs page and search for "flutter casual games toolkit" to see updated developer guides and game templates. Thank you for your understanding!
any consideration for improving flutter web performances, i mean its almost 2024 but the web performances are still questionable. hope the dev team doing pretty well
Please make the integration of the ads faster and more effective since the examples that are on the web do not work when updating the libraries and dependencies
Any online video guide on how to make platform and other games? As well as on how to create leader boards, in game account to keep track of user level and score?
@@laybunzz - Decoding Flutter - The little series "Managing State" by Khanh Nguyen was also fun to follow along! I don't know why it stopped. - Flutter quick tips / shorts - More videos focusing on Dart The thing with the Observable series is that it's waaay to long! I wonder if it would be better to cut it up into smaller parts where each part is focusing on its own thing, if you get what I mean. Otherwise, I am truly in love in this channel!
About app sizes. I managed to make a simple app with Rust (with Bevy engine rendering)that weights 4kb, and Flutter's empty app was 18mb... Is there a way to make it smaller?
Hmmm, the sound player libraries don’t even have a fading effect for the audio track yet. Mb in another 5 years it will turn out to be a convenient platform for game development.
Our game is built on Flutter. But now there is one problem: the iOS impeller engineer has some issues while rendering SVG files, in our case it's the country flags. Please fix it ASAP, thanks.
