To those wondering why other walnuts are not interchangeable with black walnuts, it's because of the natural dye in the hull of the black walnut that makes wounds particularly debilitating. Engineers are still investigating the use of heartnuts instead, as their hard/pointy shells may offer some armour penetrating capabilities.
Your feet get used to it the more you do it. I have seen dudes running marathons bare foot. You have to run/ walk correctly or you break a foot bone fast. Makes your feet and balance at the ankle way stronger.

Dude, they just asked me for ID and background check at the store, here in ca, for walnuts. I knew that there was a reason. They told me there was a 10-day waiting period, that I had to fill out papers, and that they would regulate them.
Nobody needs walnuts of this caliber for home defense. Acorns are more than enough. Lighter, more velocity. I read somewhere it can ricochet inside the skull, doubling potential damages.
No walnuts in Texas but this got me thinking about launching cactus. We've got this extremely annoying one nicknamed jumping cactus because you can't walk near it without having small pieces break off and stick to your legs. Launch those at the enemy and they'll be so busy cussing trying to get them off they won't be able to shoot at you. That leaves us time to prepare a full scale prickly pear attack leaving them withering on the ground in agony. We could walk right past them and take over their base. Let the great cactus war begin!
@@BigJoker I'd get rid of it on the ranch but the fruit tastes pretty good, a bit like strawberries. So I leave them alone mostly along with other wild edibles like prickly pear, hack berry trees, yucca and a few others. If things get bad I've got a native plant that doesn't need watering and good for food, soap and cordage. The yucca fills all three spots.

I think a solid printed Glock look alike with a barrel size the same as a buffer tube so it could be a pistol brace would be a good laugh.
It could actually be useful for training. If you have a bunch of walnuts you could throw them out of the launcher and shoot them before they hit the ground.

Do you have plans to make a nut or other round object launcher? I'm not sure how well the PLA stuff can handle the pressure of blanks but it would be a neat thing to have!
