This is like Americas Pagani, or Americas Koenigsegg. I know its not much, but this is the best America has to offer. Gunterwerks and Singer. They make amazing stuff, but its not their own cars. They are restomodding Porsches after all.
As someone who has a huge passion for restorations, I don't think the average enthusiast realizes how much work it takes to get the clear on that paint job super flat. Who ever did the cut and polish required hundred of hours to get it truly like glass. A lot of block sanding between grits and meticulously polishing the panel slowly without burning the paint. This car looks absolutely stunning.
@dogger37JC oh really? So how many jobs have you done? By the way, I have done Autobody for a living. The last car I touched was an Imported RHD Supra, which the client wanted a mirror finish. Hand blocked it 800,1200,1500, trizact 2000, 3000 then compound, swirl remover, and lastly glaze. So I can already tell by your comment that you have never done this trade. If you are talking about bodywork/metal shaping or the prep/paint which goes from bare metal, epoxy, filler, poly spray, urethane primer, sealer, base and lastly clear that's a totally different process. I commented this because I have done it, and to get this finish requires a LOT of hand blocking. This isn't a typical production finish where denib here and there and hit with the buffer like you are thinking. Btw, Linear Blocks, True Blox, Lucky Blocks, Big Kid Blocks, Next level blocks all sell their version of Acrylic/plexiglass blocks for tradesman to get this finish. Please don't tell them what you said here, I will spare you the humiliation.
@@Speakingdatruth You have a very fragile ego if that’s how you react. If it takes you hundreds of hours to cut and polish a car to achieve this level of finish, then you’re work incredibly slow. When I say surfacing that pertains to taking a bare carbon fiber body like this car is made of and getting it to the point of laying down the base coat. That’s the most important part of the process to achieve this level of finish especially when it’s a carbon fiber body so there is no print through. And yes I have experience with this level of work for many years working for a company that builds cars like this. Who still uses glaze? That’s so outdated.
@dogger37JC lol you "worked" for a company, and I am the guy who has "done" it for years, two different things. Regarding the print through, that was in the early 90s especially with the Ferrari F40 being one of the first to use Carbon technology and the belief was to not use much paint materials because it will "weigh down the car". So essentially, it was prepreg carbon and a thin layer of base over. Later, when the car was baked in the booth, the base/clear will shrink into the weaves. Now, it's much different. Generally, most builders will use some poly spray to get slight imperfections "waves" in the carbon block that go into sealer, base, and clear. After the clear shrinks, that is when all the hard blocking comes into play. I am going to stop just you saying glaze is outdated, proves my point. I am speaking to someone who has no idea what it takes to get this finish. And yes, it takes hundreds of hours, especially when getting the clear literally flat. When you are ready, feel free to show me your work, and I will be glad to show mine.

Yes I worked for a company called Singer for 10 years in their paint department. During that time well over 200 cars were painted so I have quite a bit experience with high level paint on cars like this. Like I said you must work really slow if it takes a couple of months to cut and polish a car to this level. Do you charge $10k-$15k to cut and polish or more?

911’s are my favorite too, but for whatever reason, Tim’s just not into them. They always leave him disappointed. I think GW’s are probably more than he wants to spend on a car he’s just not that jazz’ed about. It’s all good different strokes for different folk’s. 😊
It's hard to imagine two companies working so deeply on the 993 911 with Gunther Works and Singer. Also, the fact that they really are so different. If you were to compare a GW and a Singer side by side, you would be amazed at the differences.
That GWR has the same weight and power as the Porsche Singer DLS, while the Gunther Turbo has the same weight and power as the Singer DLS Turbo. Who will be the brave RU-vidr to film a fight between these cars?
If i ever hit lottery, I would buy this in a heartbeat. Man they have captured the soul of Porsche so well. There isnt one thing i dislike about this. It's perfection.

These guys will go a long way. They're doing a fantastic work. When I first read about the way they optimized the chassis dynamics by equalizing the track widths of both the front and rear, I knew they were on the right path. The neutral handling characteristics are what define the 993 variant and differentiate it from the rest, and these guys essentially perfected it. From what I heard, Guntherwerks-modified Porsche 993s exhibit virtually no oversteering or understeering tendencies.

Such a beautiful clash between classic and modern ingenuity. The engine looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. And the body has a nice balance between functionality and true craftsmanship. What a great edition to the series!

Initially, I was a bit skeptical of Gunther Werks: "Just another - Mee Too Porsche Restomod". But I'm developing my view of these masterpieces. Gunther Werks seems to be equal to, or maybe even better, than the Restomod of Restomods: Singer Reimagined. Well done!
These are the most beautiful cars I have ever seen 😭. The car with the brown carbon fibre and the green Turbo are literally the type of imaginative detail I would go for I can only guess how long it took them to make them. And even the Engines seem bespoke 😱🖤
I have a new found respect for Porsche and the Gunthers are in a whole new class. Every one is just better and better.i tip my hat to them, the whole team!
Brown one wasn't my color but damn is that carbon beautiful. These make RWBs look like junkyard specials, which they basically are. Great work respecting these cars the way they should be.
One of my dreams once I make it big in real estate I plan to buy a RWB a Gunther werks singer and RUF. Parked next to my 911 992 turbo S and GT2 RS. That's a sight to behold 😅 These cars alone mention cost well over 5 million. Dream BIG GUYS CHEERS 🎉

I thought the GT3RS WEISSACH was beautiful but my goodness, that's heaven!!! Oooo.. my goodness that's amazing.. I honestly was holding my breathe with some of those.. what could they do with your old Porsche you're restoring. I really don't think you can imagine the craziness they'd come up with..
As ever, another great mod from GW. I understand why the wheels are specified this way for streamlining purposes, but to my eyes it's 'underwheeled'. If I was lucky enough to be buying, I'd upsize those immediately and take the aero hit for better aesthetics. Beautiful car.

Just a matter of time before GW unveils a redesigned 935 at this point. These folks are really taking a bite out of Singer. The first couple of cars looked a bit toyish if I'm being honest, but man have they upped their game. The paint werk is absolutely sublime.
Guaranteed Porsche doesn't mind or care they spend way way way more on R&D for their cheapest cars and they profit way more even on their cheapest cars

Beautiful cars, and I'm sure will drive amazingly and make the driver feel very special. How many of them ever will be truly driven though? All that engineering to sit in a room and not be touched.
