I don’t know if I’m missing something but there are 11 button presses (pages) but 30 modes? How do you explore the 30 modes? Does each page fluctuate through the 30 modes automatically or can we choose which ones?
Hi there! Thanks for asking! The flowlight-FS have 30 unique modes divided into 3 pages. Each page has 10 modes, and the 11th mode on each page is the autoplay mode which cycles through all the modes on a page at a specific interval. yo Does the string(?) come with the order of a Flow light or will they only ship the glowstick and I have to purchase an additional product to be able to spin them like in the video?
Hi! You can get the flowlights stand alone here: flowtoys.com/flowlightfs ... or with cord and cases here: flowtoys.com/crystal-poi-lite ... the flowlights are a modular, interchangeable light unit. If you get the crystal poi, you can use the flowlights in many of staffs, rope darts, nunchaku as well. Hope this helps!
Sort of related to the video due to their inclusion with the Crystal Poi Lite v2's - are the Flowcell NiMH batteries low self-discharge type (drop to 90% charge after a year, 70% charge after ten years) or ones that will steadily run themselves down after a month or two of storage? Figured I'd ask as I'm in the process of saving up for a few things and am curious if Flowcells will hold a charge during Canadian winters, or if I should look into picking up some AAA Enerloops. Hi! Flowcells are not low self-discharge, though in our testing eneloops don't perform much different from flowcells, which are made by tenergy. Since you're in Canada, it might be worth just getting eneloops locally to save you on shipping :)
These look amazing, I can't wait to get mine. Is it possible to customize any of the modes to a single color if we occasionally want something simple like the original greens?
Yes it is in "Bold" - the 3rd mode on page 1 (press 3 times). The default is all white, but you can adjust and select any single color - hope you love them!

Awesome new modes! I really missed the rasta/jammin' mode (red-yellow-green) on my podpoi. Will podpoi also have colorsets like jammin' and pulse in the future?
Yes podpoi will have them and more! Look forward to releasing the new capsule light - it might be a few months, as we still have a bit of work to do ;)
We can't modify the current capsules, and the new capsules have a whole different board with many new components (many more features). But when the new capsules come out, you can send in your capsules for upgrade credit :)

Some of the old flowlights are still available and on sale - www.flowtoys.com/sale/flowlights/ - we are all out of the greens though. While we lost booyah, we kept a lot of old DNA - the new flowlights still have a breath and a heartbeat, and there are many amazing adjustable modes. Hope you get to enjoy them at some point :)

yes, and they're all amazing! I've been using pods for a few years now and love them to pieces. What I meant was FlowLights have LEDs on the top and the bottom while the capsules have four lights (two on both sides) right in the center, making it capable of displaying multiple colors but one at a time. FlowLights have top and bottom which is more dazzling to me. I never actually complained about that out loud, it was just sort of a bummer. They're still amazing and I'll still use them even after I get the FS. You guys have been amazing to me and all of your customers over the years! keep it up :)

Both depending on the prop and how you are using them! :) Modes and features wise, the new flowlightFS is more advanced and can be brighter. Flowlights can also link end to end indefinitely, while capsule lights can only link 2 at a time, because the buttons are at the ends, which allows for the convenience of being able to turn on/off and change modes from the outside. The USB rechargeability of the capsule light is very convenient, but not as reliable as the ability to use AAAs (we recommend rechargeables) in some circumstances. We are lovin' the flowlights now, but still love capsules in a host of different props. Hope you get to enjoy some flowlightFS - they are pretty stunning!
Yes - we are continuing to donate to e-Stewards, but we are looking for ways to raise awareness with our customers and community, and fund other causes as well. Now that watermelon lights are no more, we don't have a good way to raise awareness and funds for Fund the Flow Arts either. We're transitioning our website and will be looking for ways to engage people. Our ideal is if we could have customers choose what cause they would like us to donate a % of their purchase to (flow arts, e-Stewards, other social causes that need support), but not sure if we can set that up w/ our new site yet. Adding special effects to the video does not give us a genuine visual of the product. This is a deceptive tactic, please show us what they REALLY look like.
Hi there, those effects are not added - they are the actual trails from the light. Our eyes see differently from the video camera and these are taken with longer exposure. They actually look better in real life as it's hard to capture good trails. Hope you get to see them in person and wish you a terrific holiday season.
