Honestly watching this series has gotten me in the mood to play the game again, cheers nathan, didn't have the motivation to play till i saw your vids lol
I know that this is a video from a year ago but this is for for anyone looking in the comments as for why the new brine automation isn't working at 0 low and 5 high but the polluted water is. The green signal is sent from the right (brine) liquid reservoir too early so it adds new brine to the sistem trying to fill the resevoir as soon as possible, by doing so the pipes get backed up and force the cold brine outside the sistem (my desalinator pipe broke multiple times because of this). It workes for the polluted water because it's a shorter journey and the tank never gets completely empty to activate the green signal too early. My solution was to put ONLY the right brine liquid resevoir threshold to 0 low and 7 high so the tank remains filled ever so slightly to not send the green signal before the brine is at the correct temperature.
Honestly this series and the 2.0 one that I’ve been bingeing while I wait for 3.0 episodes have been really helpful in letting me understand this game more. I’m really bad at it and can never keep up with oxygen generation and power and watching you has been helpful. I’m just one person but I hope what I’ve said has encouraged you to keep going. You inspire my video making and my game playing.
I have been following your serie diligently and re watching the episodes again and again to improve my Base. I bought the Game just after watching your amazing Playthrough and Commentary. I totally love it 😊 Great work keep it up.
“OR gates useful” I have a completely automatic connect 4 that spans most of the planetoid. The circuit is stacked in 2 rows since I could only fit 4/7 before hitting the world border. I made one in Terraria years ago, luckily this game had 90% of the same gates. Logic gates are mad useful when used right. I’m sure u could imagine my unnecessarily complicated electrolyzer set ups lol.
Hi Nathan, I enjoy your series very much, including the mistakes and second tries at things, it’s all part of the game. Why have you not teleported to the new world it has an oil biome you don’t need a rocket yet. Saying that though you have really handled most of the plastic from what I’ve seen with drekkos. Keep up the good work
At 1:09, now, what could go wrong? A tube access point close to a volcano? At 2:58, the reaction reminded of a mayor's daughter (Ilyana?) when she discovered an injury to Link's horse in Twilight Princess. The reactions may not be exact.
I've never seen you use the robo sweepers before. That would save your dupes some time with long stretches of flat ground with a lot of items to sweep up.
Hey Nathan I always forget to ask this. How do you zoom out to see almost the entire zone? And how do you have pliers? The ones you use to cut pipes without making use of duplicants
welp, at cycle 382 an 44 cycles on my geyser left to run im at about 70% or so output with my infinite liquid solution. I expect it to drop another 25% or more before it goes dormant. on the plus side i have a crap ton of tepid polluted an brine to use if needed. gonna redo the heat exchange once this output cycle ends. to be continued :)
Have you considered using some sort of save editor to get rid of that troublesome neutronium near the magma biome? I wouldn’t blame you if you turned it into obsidian or similar, it’s not near a geyser or the edges of the map, it’s kind of just an anomaly.
@@Nathans-Sandbox derp, I meant to say copper specifically, although after looking it up, I realize copper might actually have a pretty high melting point, something like 1000 c. How hot is that magma again?
It always takes a long time for debris to exchange temperature with the liquids they are sitting in. We saw that with the abyssalite last episode, but that has a lower thermal conductivity, so it was even slower. Best way to get it to exchange temperature is to put it on rails.
is there a reason you decided against using mod items like Insulated Joint Panels and Insulated Mechanical Doors? also, i'd give a big recommendation to True Tiles by Aki. it looks so much better to have an entirely different appearance depending on the material used, rather than the default way where each tile has only one appearance regardless of material use. it pairs very well with MaterialColor! 😀
How do you avoid the situation when dudes come out of one point and go into another? In this case, they discard the suits and they cannot be returned in any way except by hands
Yes, but you must not forget that the task doesn't have that priority. They sweep with priority 5, and the they bring it to the highest priority storage, which in this case is 1. If I ever decide to have one material delivered elsewhere, any priority higher than one will do.
