Can I suggest a mod, plan without materials, nice to just place down the plans and let the dupes deliver when the materials become available. Ideal for the solar panel construction 👍
I have one day off work this week and I spent it watching 20 episodes of this series back to back! Great series and I love how much content of this game you have made.
you could build a tempshift plate out of plastic diagonally to a magma tile (with tiles still blocking the magma). The tempshift plate will convert to naphta which can be used for refineries if you lack oil/petroleum as coolant.
I put this playthrough on hold because I couldn't seem to grasp the whole magma thing. Life got in the way and then you started the One Dupe Challenge, which I have been enjoying. I decided it was time to continue this one and the magma thing just clicked. I don't know why I had so much trouble with it before but I have now finished it and will be continuing this playthrough along with the One Dupe Challenge. :-)
I need to say, plastic dreckos are overpowered! You made a simple setup, with little to none maintenance, and yet you already have 24t of plastic. This alone removed the biggest incentive to search for another planet. I mean, now petroleum only purpose now is to be fuel for rockets or power generators, but you already have geothermal power... Anyway, i'm still in love with your series, wathcing everyday! thanks for the videos
Actually you can just wait, usually in natan playthrough, he always strips mine all the planetoid even he doesn't need anything there, and still tame and build all contraction around every vent in every planetoid to bring back to his main base. It's just natan things. We allowed he used the plastic just because he can progress faster, that's all
lol my steam vent cooling solution is almost certainly about to bite me in the ass on the steam turbines. too late to turn back now, will keep you posted :) thx for the work
Something I thought maybe you'd address in the next episode but I didn't see it, for the cooling loop that is setup from the coolant before it goes into the steam vent loop, doesn't it get stopped whenever the steam vent loop is not accepting water? Which in turn would mean that it's not actively cooling the steam turbines. Unless I'm missing something.
Nice series, brought me back to teh game! I just launched my first rocket but it is not landing back. It is in the space time left is 0s and still not landing so I am waiting for your series to reach that point so I can see what I am doing wrong.
Hmm there is a problem with the steam setup? When the steam vents goes dormant, the polluted water does not get cooled down and is rotating in the vent cooling loop. This results results in a clogging of the PW supply and this results in heating up the water in the steam turbine cooling loop. So in the end. there is 100°C hot PW sent to the base.
From what I've experienced, the wallpaper mod as well as the steel ladder mod have both been broken by the most recent Klei update, as for the metal ladder mod which is basically the steel ladder mod but for SO I am not sure. Hopefully they fix the mods soon though...
Im at like 70 cycles but got 8 duplicants already XD. But i have around 150k cal of food so its fine i guess. Anyway keep it coming, very excited to see rocketery program
Did steel tiles got nerfed? Im trying to build this steam room on my save and the steel tiles keep melting down, even if the magma from my world is 200 degrees colder than yours.
I’m having a glitch constantly occurring where I’m building the lava wall diagonally, and they get to 99% of the building bar, and then they just stop and then they can no longer interact with the tile. I have lost tons of copper and iron over this Because canceling the work order is the only thing that stops it and my materials fall in the magma. I don’t know what to do.
This happens because there is not only magma but also liquid copper around. Make sure you overbuild liquid copper with a simple tile. There should only be magma around so it can be pushed into the other magma. Airflow tiles cannot delete liquid, so you have to delete it using a solid tile.
You plan out the metal plates for the steam room, but not the future vents. Are those possible to build from the up? PS: Got Covid, had time to catch up. Great videos, keep it up coming!
You're wrong. I don't blame you though. There was also a heat leak, but I plugged it up. I haven't cheated once in the series, and whenever I do in the future I have no reason not to tell. But yeah, next time I wouldn't be so confident about the "busted" thing... It's not a good look when you could just pose it as a question instead.
@@Nathans-Sandbox Then why didnt the airflow tiles melt touching the lava? The ones up top were filled with co2 which should make them melt almost instantly!
During building this dozens of airflow tiles melted. They are still there liquified. The leak was easily fixed by filling the tiles containing CO2. There was never a huge leak though.
Loving this base but just so you know if you block the Stargate Pyramid on the surface with buildings I will be forced to unsub. It makes me happy every time you scroll up or out.
@@Nathans-Sandbox I was more talking about the same design every time you do a bottom of the world geothermal generator. Not all builds in general. I have missed a few episodes so if you have done like a natural gas boiler or a episode on feeding the tree or ranch gassy moos or work with bees and radiation I would like a link to them episodes. I'm not trying to be a dick
@@Nathans-Sandbox i ment if you did them on any of your series. i look up builds like that but cant find them much in spaced out. and cant find anything on moos due to they suck to have lol
I hope we'll get to those builds for sure! Just makes sense to not get ahead of ourselves. Let me know which builds are important to you and I will make sure to include them in an appropriate moment.
