My 7 month old is usually fine with the dogs we find when taking walks, but he hasn’t had the chance to just play with individual puppies (mainly due to COVID). I signed him up for a beginner class, not so much for the commands, but mainly to learn how to listen to me around other pups.

i may not be the owner of the video,but i can give you my answer. if you already have a dog you can just pick the treats you already have,if you do not then you should try them out first,also some times you should pick the more expensive treats. i hope i helped you!

Allison Miyake he probably won't go far but you shouldn't leave him off leash that young in an unfenced safe zone and without recall training in my opinion.

I am new to your channel. What treats do you use? My rescue dog is reluctant to take treats so it makes it hard to reward. Maybe we have not found the right treat. She has no interest in toys.

My 3.5 month old puppy barks and sometimes bares her teeth at other puppies walking past her crate. How can i stop this? I just want her to not be aggressive towards other puppies/dogs while she's in her crate. Ive only had her for a week.

My established older dog isn't suppose to walk due to chf and a grade 6 murmur. So we are inside a lot EdIt : i haven't used a leash as the puppy is less than 2 pounds. I just pull him away or block him.
I’m still struggling with this. My in-law’s dog visits and stays at our house periodically. She’s 6 years old and MUCH smaller than him. It’s a situation where they need to learn to co-exist. He struggles to listen (other dog or not) when he wants to play

My puppies fur goes up when he sees a dog and he tries to run away. I don't know anyone with a dog except my parents.. which when I got him I took him over there and he kept trying to bite her in the face so she growled at him to tell him that isn't cool. He's very submissive but a German Shephard.
How can you be aware of teeth baring when you're walking your dog? its facing away from you. I have senior and he doesnt like to be greeted unless HE CHOOSES to greet first. But because he's much smaller and lower to the ground, I almost fail to notice his teeth baring until he snarls.
My dog is not a puppy. He is 6 1/2 years old. A friend of mine used to pet sit him together with her female boxer. But now she has a new dog that is a year old and huge breed. My dog encountered him at my home and immediately went aggressively to him. Now, we cannot pet sit each others’ dog. Plus my dog sleeps on his bed and my friends’ dog sleep with her. I know that my dog is threatened by big size dogs too. But he plays very well with dogs his size or smaller.
In Sarnia.. we just rescued a 5 year old English bulldog female, my 3 yr old male Bulldog and her bark and growl.. what to do? Also the new dog growls at my boys age 5 and 11.. is it stress or she in pain? English bulldogs are known to love everything and everybody.. I hope I didn't make a mistake.. thanks
May not be the best for your family or the dog.... it could be stress and pain, also confusion. You said you rescued her, what is her history? Has she ever met a child? Or lived with another dog? Has your dog ever lived with another dog?
@@armaniholliday255 she used in a "puppy mill".. she's 5 and had 4 litters.. it's a pure English Bulldog so I'm guessing she was never socialized and never seen kids. She's fine with me,my wife and older daughters but she doesn't like the young boys, since I posted the comment she's ok with the other dogs but still wants to bite the young boys.. it's definitely a work in progress but very VERY slow..
myjunkmail007 it’s seen as confrontational I believe. Also if the leash is tight, your dog may feel that you are tense or unsure about the situation and he may then try to sort it out by being aggressive?
From our human point of view, allowing dogs to get close on a tight leash seems safe and controlled, but please remember that it’s the dogs mindsets that matter here. 1. A tight leash often causes increased excitement to what should be calm and safe introductions, and it can habituate lunging and not listening around other dogs in the future. 2. If there is a mismatch of personalities, a more shy dog can become stressed by the proximity and react badly. If just one side responds negatively, it can cause a lasting bad memory for both dogs. Let’s do what’s best for our dogs to be safe and well mannered! :D

How many individual dogs should the puppy meet and hang around with '(his friends). I have a few friends who have dogs but not many. I also have no training classes near me! :( But I'm planning to train them by myself in the future.
