Thankyou for sharing this pattern I've just lost my tiny son and wanted to make a outfit for him to be laid to rest in this is a perfect starting point for me
Thank you for your tutorials I share the pain of our babies born to soon and I think times have changed so much since this happened to me at the time you had to keep a stiff upper lip and move on.What a lovely idea to make these darling little cardigans for such times .
Just came across this video as I'm trying to learn how to crochet. I too lost a baby, 9 years ago. 7 months into pregnancy, autopsy inconclusive 😕 I was lucky the hospital had a tiny babygro, as anything I bought - was too big. She was 1lb 1oz... I went to a sale of work in my sons school about a year or two later... A lady was selling beautiful handmade cardigans.. my eye caught this tiny one, I picked it up and admired it. Got an instant lump in my throat. Got chatting a bit as she saw I was a bit overwhelmed. Gave me the cardigan at a discount, said it was meant to be 💖 I couldn't have been more thankful to her. I took it home, and it's still in my baby girls' memory box.. I'm also hoping to donate to the maternity hospital I attended. I'm a novice - but, I've knitted a few tiny ones already, and now I'd like to try crochet. Best wishes to you and condolences for your loss 💐💕🤗 from adwina, in Co Dublin Ireland
So sorry for your loss. My son and his wife had a still born little boy last year. I made a blanket for him and they treasure it. I have been wanting to make little clothes for the ones gone to soon. Thank you for sharing your story with everyone. Hugs and prayers.
Sorry for your loss. It's good that you can talk about your loss, that can help others in similar circumstances to open up too. These are beautiful cardigans! I can't wait for you to upload the tutorial on how to make them. I've just made lots of micro baby, preemie baby & newborn baby hats to donate to my local special baby care unit at my local hospital. Now I want to make up some of your beautiful cardigans to go along with my hats. Can't wait to try you pattern.
Thank you so much for this. My sister just lost her baby from HLHS, just before Christmas. I been trying to find a pattern to make it for hospital in tunbridge wells
Hi Karen amazing tutorials, only been crocheting for a year so still learning but so hooked and so enjoy creating baby clothes the most as quick , and I think I'm ready to donate to my local charity shop, you have inspired me to not give up so thank you, would love to be able to create the tiny cardigan so I used a tiny hook seems to have worked as not sure the chain count on this one ! Best wishes Glo
So sorry for your loss. My daughter lost 2 babies early on but is now 6 months pregnant and we are praying for a full term baby that we know is a girl and is very active in her mommys belly. She already has a name, Emily Raine. This will be my first grandbaby to make it, if it does. I love your cardigans especially the white one and am going to look for your video of it. Thanks for sharing and God Bless.
Thank you. It does make you worry every time you get pregnant after a loss, but somehow it makes your bond even stronger with the babies that are born next. Your love just grows :) I wish you, your daughter and your grand daughter a loving happy future :)
I wonder if anyone could share the pattern for the teeny tiny version of the cardigan with me please? Also….I’m SO sorry for your loss Karen. My sister just lost her baby at 27 weeks and it has devastated us. I’d like to make some of these cardigans to donate to the NICU. Thank you in advance!

I'm sitting here crocheting on preemie hats for a 4lb baby and looking for patterns for tiny clothes because this little for doesn't have anything that fits her. Any recommendations welcome!
Sorry for your loss Karen, we went through something similar 25 years ago when my mother lost our baby sister at 40 weeks of pregnancy and although she was not premature something so personal for a perfect little angel like a crothed cardigan would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.
My son was a 24 weeker I had nothing , he is 4 now and iv started making preemie bits for others in our situations. I cherish the items donated to us. (No reason for my son to have come early Just one of those things 😥)
Hi Karen I love your video please can you tell me the measurementa for 3 -6 months up to 1 year ? Do you just increase the chain size around the neck line thanks Gemma
Thanks for this tutorial. I’m planning on making some with little hats to donate to the hospital where there are a lot of need. Do you have patterns for a little diaper cover?
