Part 2 Crochet along My Easy Newborn Cardigan edging and button holes. The way to get this right is to make sure your cardigan is the right way around.
You need to have and equal amount of rows from top to bottom, then begin working around the entire edge of your work with a row of single crochet. When working on the edges of the rows, you need to work one stitch into the chain 2, and one stitch into the post of the half double crochet to get a nice neat finish.
Traditionally the buttons go on the left side for a lady, so the button holes need to be on the right hand side of your cardigan. The button holes and your choice of trim are made on the second round of your work.
Thank you for watching, sharing, and liking my videos. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed. You are all very important and inspire me to keep on making my videos, and now that had led to you inspiring my children to have a go at sharing what they enjoy along with their tips in gaming.

Karen, just your simple idea to remember that buttons go on the Left side for Ladies, is worth the whole video! Something I could never remember...so I'd be searching through my clothes Every Single Time! LoL :) Actually I'm making this entire cardigan along with you this time, in blush pink and 2-3 small violet stripes (2 rows) For MY new GRANDDAUGHTER, who is coming in mid-October !!! So excited to be going back through all the older videos to find just the PERFECT ones for Madeline ! Btw, I also made your little strap tee shirt to go underneath it ! So pretty. Also, in case anyone else wonders about using size 4 WORSTED WEIGHT yarn... So far I am using a size G hook (about 4 mm) with WW, and the measurements across the chest came out exactly the same as yours.. I may use a smaller one for making the frill or lace... Not sure yet.

I love to watch and listen to you karen. You explain very well. I am new to crochet and I have now made a few of your cardigans very easily. You have filled me with confidence. I am making items for premature babies at hospital and a friend that's had a tiny prem baby. My daughter is expecting twins for my birthday in April 2021. I have made lots of your booties in various sizes. My girls love them. I've even sold a pair on holiday recently and have been asked to make some and post them. Thanks to your videos I'm loving crochet. It's very addictive ha ha ha. Keep up the great work. Love that your real and have family life that you share. Many thanks ❤❤❤❤

Hello again Karen, thank you for another lovely video. I love your video's and I love your sense of humour. I am paranoid too about sewing on buttons, I have to sew them on so tight. Kindest regards and take care

Hi Karen - I've been trying to wing it with this design to make a small adult cardigan but it's not working - arm holes too small, front doesn't meet.... Do you have a pattern/diagram/video for adult sizes?
