Introduction to Accessories - Filter Hoods with the Foredom Bench Lathe 

There are 3 types of filters for the MAFH25Filter Hood. They each have a different MERV rating. The highest MERV rating is 15. The polyester filter has a rating of 8 MERV which traps larger particulates 70% - 85% 3.0 - 10 microns. It is great for buffing or as a pre-filter in front of one of the other types to extend their life. The second filter is the polyester/charcoal filter with a MERV rating of 13. It catches 90% particulates 3.0 - 10 microns and 75% of particulates 0.3 - 1.0 microns. It is a great filter used alone or with one of the other filters as a pre-filter. The third type of filter is the pleated filter with a MERV rating of 14. It catches 95% particulates 3.0 - 10 microns and 85% of particulates 0.3 - 1.0 microns. Thank you for reaching out to us!
