The option to make it a 1 person kayak was hard to find. I finally found it in a reply for this video. IMO it's a strong selling point. Why do you not advertise this?

update: we had a great experience from order thru delivery despite a couple months lead time. No issues with 3rd party shipping, no issues assembling the MPT13 modular tandem pedal unit. All components were securely packaged; the seats are comfortable and both are adjustable (1" closer and 1" higher) with a separate mounted channel. The flipper style drive is quiet, we pace it like a relaxing walk, and it really moves, with paddles as auxiliary power! The waterproof compartments latch securely and there's ample storage on the surface for small bags and accessories. The 3 pieces allow us to move this in our Honda CRV's trunk, but a trailer is likely needed if you want to transport it assembled. (I don't recommend a roof mount since it might over-flex the couplings?) We found it's very well designed, stable, and we look forward to many years of enjoyment on nearby lakes and calm streams! (don't forget to wear personal flotation devices PFD's so you can be safe on the water!) I recommend Keel Guard to protect it (and all kayaks) for shallow water. 5 Stars!
no, a little water is visible around the equipment, but well below the kayak 'floorboard' level. we didn't even get any water up to the scupper holes. just remember to rotate the mounting clips to keep the pedals fastened, in case your kayak rolls over. very easy and fun to use, including a 10 year old and a 15 year old, on a local lake.
That's right! We recommend getting the MPT13 for days where you want to bring a friend, otherwise you can use the front and back pieces and have an MPK9!
