A quick demonstration on how to make simple glued rigs, showing both the glued bead method and the stronger glue tubing method. All products in this video are available in store or online at www.christchurchanglingcentre.co.uk
Brilliant vlog ty , just 1 question , I always use stop knots so I can change snood positions if I'm catching on bottom hook , so I can go 1 down 2 up or use an urfe for 3 down , with glued rigs would you change over straight away , or do you make loads of different rigs so you can just change rigs accordingly, I suppose I've answered it in the long question lol
Can I use glued rig tube with 1 moving 3mm glass bead then a 45 1b Gemini snood swivel then bead and tube or do I need to use 4mm bead it’s on 60 1b mono line as the leader main line with the swivel on then the 40 1b mono line on the swivel as a hook snood trace is tied to it ? And a mainline swivel on the top of the 60 1b mainline trace . Please I ordered the 3mm glass beads plastic will the 3mm beads go through my snood 45 1b swivel?
Fantastic video many thanks. I am starting to fish a lot lighter (Beach Ledgering?) and usually end up watching stuff by Italians with no subtitles.! One question when using these light glued rigs is there a ratio for line diameter between rig body and hook line/snood? Say 1- 0.75?? Or less..
Not as such, rig body is determined more by what rod you are using and leads you are casting. I personally use 0.40 rig body (Titanium soft) when I'm using my light beach ledgering rods or my light surf rods when casting 2 or 3oz leads. The 0.50 Sufix Zippy will cover most of my "normal" beach fishing with my standard 3 piece rods and 4 or 5oz leads. If I'm on my more powerful rods and heavier leads then I up things to 0.60 Zippy. Snood is determined more by the hook size, water clarity and intended species. For example if I'm targetting Garfish in clear water then I'll use 0.18 or 0.20 snoods to a size 8 Yamame hook with pop ups, but if the target is fish like Flounders or Pout, then there's little point in using such light snoods, so anything from 0.30 to 0.35 usually suffices. I hope this helps.
