Hot-dip galvanizing is used to protect steel from corrosion. During the galvanizing process, steel is fully immersed in a molten zinc bath, to create the metallurgically-bonded, corrosion resistant galvanized coating providing decades of corrosion resistance with little to no maintenance. This video introduces the potential causes for varying hot-dip galvanized coating appearances.
