Many students struggle with infectious diseases topic in school and in clinical practice. This is due to the wide range of bacteria and potential antibiotics that could be used against them. It also gets complicated when you have to consider susceptibility of the antibiotics, resistance, and patient related factors. In this video I provide the general approach in managing patients with bacterial infectious diseases. This will help set that foundation required before being introduced to the more complicated aspects of infectious diseases.
