Thank you for this. I'm not sure exactly where my ancestors are from, but Id like to learn.

I don't see Gaeilge's ancient heritage as being a bad thing yes its an old language but like you said its a living language that means its got all the workings of a modern language. I thing Gaeilge gives us roots into our ancient past and that's part of what makes its so beautiful.
